My daughter had her first visit with Dr. Bowen this week and I am VERY satisfied! My daughter is terrified of doctors but Dr. Bowen put her at ease with her kind smile and her gentle approach. She came very highly recommended from another patient and I am so glad I took my friends advice! I liked Dr. Bowen so much that I made an appointment for myself. I haven't dealt with a Doctor like this in a very long time. I'm so excited to see what's to come

I went to Dr. Bowen until she relocated to a different practice further away from me. She was very good and a very good diagnostician and I had not had much luck with other doctors on that front previously. The couple of times I went I was sure her diagnosis could not be correct but indeed it was both times. She is also very nice.

Horrible bedside manner.

I went to Dr Bowen for four years after Dr Doyle left Kernersville. She was very nice and a great listener. The girl at the front desk was always abrupt and unpleasant to deal with and the last time I went I had to wait over an hour just to be told that I needed a specialist. Overall I would continue to go to her practice and recommend her to others.

My last doc was incredible, but I had to switch because she had no respect for my time. Would schedule 4 patients at the same time & you'd sit in the waiting area 45-60 min, then see the nurse & sit in the exam room another 60 min. I'd have to wait a good 2 hrs to see the doc for 10 min. And this was with requesting/scheduling "the best" appt times with the receptionist where I could get in & out since I had to leave work.So anyway, I switched to Dr. Bowen. I am on time for our appt's and so is she. So far she has been very pleasant and doesn't seem distracted. I don't feel like she's trying to rush to get to the next patient. She doesn't seem distracted by anything - I feel like I have 100% of her attention which is very unusual compared to a typical office visit with most doctors. She is very thorough, takes her time, shows genuine concern, and really listens to what I tell her. Typically a doc says "here's your scrip & we'll schedule a follow up to see how that worked out" -… but Dr. Bowen gives her recommendation and then talks about some other options - again just really taking the time to be thorough and include me in the process. In all it just really makes me feel like she cares - she's not just trying to get me out of there as quickly as possible so she get to the next in line.My old doc was like that when I first started there, but as the practice grew, the wait times got longer while the actual time with the doc got shorter. The genuine concern gradually devolved into a frantic rush to get on to the next person. I hope Dr. Bowen's practice thrives and grows because she is a great doc, but at the same time I hope she can manage to keep making her patients feel like there's nothing more important to her than getting them well.

Dr. Bowen has a great bedside manner and is an excellent listener. I've found her to be very responsive to my concerns and never felt rushed while in her office. She offers good advice and doesn't always go after the "quick fix."

Dr. Bowen always has a smile on her face when she greets you. She is thorough and listens to all concerns. She makes the effort to follow through and get to the root of any problem you come to her with. She has gained my absolute trust!

I really like Dr. Bowen. I have been seeing her since her practice opened and my husband has been seeing the other Doctor in the Practice. She has always listened to me, never prescribed more medicine than necessary and I have never felt "put off" by her or her staff. Her last nurse seemed a little brash at first but I felt like Lydia cared for me and my family as well. I don't really understand these other comments but my husband and I will continue to see Dr. Bowen and her staff.

She's not arrogant at all. Very friendly and listens. She is very encouraging and didn't let me get down on myself because of my blood pressure not going down and not losing as much weight as I would have liked. She just adjusted my meds accordingly and it's been great. I can't wait to see her again so she can see how much more I've lost! It's also a convenient location, right off the hwy, and it wasn't a problem to set an appt around my work schedule. Go see her and you'll see the truth.
