The service I received from Dr. Collins's office staff was completely ridiculous and unacceptable. I came to her office as a new patient and went to the pharmacy two days later to pick up my prescription. The pharmacy told me there was an issue with my prescription and I needed to contact the insurance company. To me - not a big issue. I called the insurance company and they told me they needed paperwork from the doctor's office before they'd cover the prescription. Again, I completely understand that that comes up sometimes. I called Dr. Collin's office, told them all the details of what the insurance company said, and was told that the office would send in the information and take care of everything. The staff member specifically told me I didn't have to do anything and that they would call me when the prescription was approved. They said it would take a week to a week and a half. A little over two weeks passed and I didn't hear anything, so I called just to check in on the… progress. They had no information for me, but said they'd call me back. It took them another two days before they called me and I found out they hadn't done anything in the 2.5 weeks since I'd originally spoken with them! They hadn't even written down that they needed to contact my insurance company!

Dr. Collins was not my regular ob/gyn, but happened to be on duty when I went into labor many years ago. She made a positive impression on me then, and I've continued to see her since. Although she no longer personally delivers babies, she is part of a group practice that does. Dr. Collins sees patients for office visits, and is an exceptional medical professional who combines her expertise and training in conventional medicine with her knowledge of natural supplements and treatment options. I trusted Dr. Collins in my child-bearing years, and am grateful to rely on her care as menopause approaches.
