Dr. Karen Michelle Kim, MD

My son came down sick the second day we moved to town. Surprisingly, the same afternoon I called the office I got an appointment, which was rare at our old pediatrician office. Although they fit us into the schedule, Dr Kim didn't rush us out, but checked out my son and explained what was going on.

Dr Kim has been my children' s pediatrician for years, and I will never see anyone else. I didn't really realize what a great doctor we had until we temporarily moved out of town and had to go to another practice. How I missed Dr KIm, who actually takes time to find out what is wrong. When we moved back and went to Kids First again, I felt like hugging her!

I have never had a problem getting a prompt appointment at Kids First-by the way, it is not on Gray Street, whereever that is. No matter what my ques ...

I recommend Dr Kim to everyone! I feel she saved my daughter's life! We had just moved to Pooler and had no doctor. My youngest daughter became very ill, and was having trouble breathing. I called Kids First and got an appointment right away, even though she was a new patient. The staff got us back soon after we arrived, and the RN notified the doctor that there was an emergency. Dr Kim diagnosed my daughter with pneumonia and admitted her immediately to the hospital. Dr Kim saw her everyday in the hospital, and she cured her; she also found that my daughter had asthma, and probably had it for years. Dr Kim put her on a medicine she breathes in everyday, and she has been so much better.

I would never take my kids anywhere else. If one of them are sick, they are seen the same day I call for an appointment- once the office waited after hours for me to get there. My phone calls are returned promptly, and they always know who I am and who my children are. I love the new computer system- the prescription goes right to the pharmacy before I leave the office. I prefer to see Dr Kim, who always knows what is wrong if one of mine is under the weather, so my only gripe is that she is not there every day of the week. I have had no problems with the other docs, though.

Front desk is very rude and the clinical staff is very unprofessional and I found out by some of the name tags that they are medical assistants not a nurse and these are the people giving my baby vaccines.I have since changed to another pediatrician.

Dr. Kim did not rush me whatsoever when I had questions concerning my child's illness. When I went to the check up, the exam was very thorough. I felt as if that was the first time my son had a true overall checkup. I definitely give her four out of four stars.

by far the best doctor you could ever want to take your children to. very caring and attentive to all of your childrens issues. she is also extremely knowledgeable.

I've been a long time patient of this practice and particularly Dr. Kim. I've always found her to be a caring, concerned professional who really cares about my daughter. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've found that Dr. Kim is thorough and proactive about my child. She makes sure that everything has been looked at and covered. I just wish she worked more than one day a week!
