Just awful Dr, I am amazed at the 3 4-5 star reviews, friends and family I would guess. Keep looking for a good Dr.

nothing has changed she still has bad bedside manner

Everyone who gave her 1 star is right. I had the same experience. I didn’t go back after the first visit. She shouldn’t be practicing medicine. She makes you feel awful and does nothing to help you. Don’t waste your time.

I saw Dr. Larson upon the recommendation of the rheumatologist I was and currently am seeing. I was and currently am looking for a primary care physician (PCP) and an internist. Most notably, Dr. Larson made me sob after making an extreme and uninformed statement in regard to my previous psychiatric care of which she has no knowledge. She was not qualified to speak on the subject, and it was inappropriate and upsetting. After visibly stressing me to the point of tears, she did not inquire about my well-being, and when pressed about her earlier comment, she retracted her statement. To give her the benefit of the doubt, perhaps she is not used to finishing thoughts before speaking. I do not know if this is limited to her patient interactions. She made very minimal effort to understand my symptoms and experience, and asked, "What do you want me to do for you?" As I am not a medical professional, much less a medical doctor, I was unable to answer to her satisfaction. It was my… understanding, and has been my experience, that the doctor is supposed to provide the patient with a treatment plan after hearing the patient's symptoms. Due to the social pressure, I did make a 6-month follow-up appointment when checking-out that I then called and cancelled. I would rather go without a PCP than see Dr. Larson again.

Dr. Karen Larson is very dismissive. I have seen her multiple times now and each time it seems as if she has no patience in talking with me and listening to my concerns. I had severe ear pain for quite sometime. After two virtual appointments she finally saw me in person, didn't examine me much, briefly looked in my ear and said everything was fine. Suggesting that I probably grind my teeth at night (I don't), she told me to take 800 mg of Ibuprofen three times a day for ten days to help with the pain, wait two weeks, then take that dosage again. Wanting a second opinion I went to an urgent care. They looked in my ear and immediately told me I had a severe ear infection and because it hadn't been treated the pain was only going to get worse. Not only is Karen Larson dismissive, but she was unable to identify an ear infection when the next day I was told differently. Patients beware.

I just dread going to her office for my annual physical. I feel she would rather be doing something else besides listening me as her patient. Never returns your calls when you leave her office messages. Why is this uncaring person practicing medicine?

I saw Dr. Larson twice hoping for her to be my primary care doctor. Her bedside manner not only lacked care and tenderness, there was a coldness and disgust to her demeanor leaving me wondering if she just didn’t care about people like me. I returned to her office to try again, and it was the same if not worst the second time. I was clearly nervous about my health concerns and she didn’t show an ounce of compassion or concern, even when I attempted to give her more details about my issues it was as if I disgusted her. I actually left my appointment with her and cried in my car because of how lowly her treatment of me made me feel. I’m someone who likes to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I would not recommend this doctor. It was disappointing to meet a health professional who has forgotten the very nature of the profession—care.

I had a lump in my breast (cancer survivor). When I called for appointment I was given an appointment. When I arrived, I thought that I had left my purse at home. So when I checked in I did not have my insurance card (information same as previous years, same as years before) nor did I have my $25.00 copay. She refused to see me. I do not have time to be treated in that manner, so I need a new primary care physician. Now you rate her.

I've seen Dr. Larson/Martin for several years as my PCP. I only see her for my yearly physicals because frankly her bedside manner is less than personable. Her attitude is cold and distant. She doesn't actively listen to my needs. I have several serious chronic health problems that I see other specialists for my treatment and she totally disregards those diagnoses to recommend that I do things that are contradictory to my other illnesses.

Her listening skills need work, as well as, her demeanor towards patients. It would help her to read some of these comments. It seems she makes diagnosis by checking boxes on a computer then clicking, find the problem. Follow up rates an F.
