Dr. Karen Lynn Leber

The best primary care doctor I have ever seen. She listens, and listens some more and discusses everything with you. I can get in the same day if I need to and if not the next day. She does not allow you to miss things like a physical and has her staff call to remind you regularly. She is congenial and so is her staff. She's great!

Brat! That's what the so called doctor called me when she said that she wasn't an infectious disease doctor and I was getting up to leave. When I called to make my first appointment I specifically asked two questions and one of them was can she treat infectious disease more specifically HIV. The front office staff said yes. When she told me that she is not an infectious disease doctor, she even said if I wanted we could cancel the appointment and I said yes. So while she said that, I got up off the exam table and was grabbing my coat! Not once, not only twice but three times she called me a brat! I turned around and agreed but also said you need to educate your front office. Extremely unprofessional appearance, she was wearing a what appeared to be leggings, Ugz boots, and a very large knitted cardigan. I work in the medical industry and never have I seen a so called doctor trying to look like the janitor.

dr leber is a very kind and intelligent md, sees you same day for emergency and cares about your long term health. her staff is very friendly and efficient.

Dr. Leber is extremely knowledgeable and provides top notch care! I have gone to her for over 5+ years and always feel very comfortable asking questions and expressing my concerns. She takes time to explain things in a way that is understandable and caring. Recently she referred me to a specialist for further care for a complicated issue requiring surgery and was very impressed to know that Dr. Leber's diagnosis was correct! Thank you Dr. Leber! I have referred many to you and will continue to do do.

She is patient, kind , thourough and intelligent. I trust her.

Very good at diagnosing, top honors in school and with peers. I really think she has lost her passion for helping people. She is often inpatient and short tempered. Unfortunately her staff has slowly adopted her attitudes and demeanor. They fail to follow up with lab information and billing is a joke. They seem to be reluctant to use electronic anything except fax and they often claim they did not receive something. She takes Medicare patients but be prepared to pay for full visit and get reimbursed whenever.

My husband and I have grudgingly been seeing Dr. Leber for about 10 years, no more. The staff is and has always been very rude. Dr. Leber is more concerned about how many patients she can fit into a day and is always rushed and brushes aside any concerns that she does not know the answer to. She is more concerned with writing prescriptions instead of getting at the underlying cause. And I want to say again that the staff is RUDE. (Jennifer) We used to put up with them because we liked Dr. Leber, but over the past 5 years she has changed too. She is just as rude as they are. No matter what time our appointments we always have to wait a long time.

She confused the A1-C numbers for cholesterol numbers. Then said 6.1 was a good diabetic number. When trying to follow through on a blood test that was ordered the lab couldn't read the numbers and when trying to contact her she said I don't know what to say but read them and then hung up on the lab tech.

Dr. Leber has been my primary doctor for approximately 18 years. Always attentive, great bedside manner. Great Doctor

I hadn't seen a doctor in years, and I was new to AZ when I got very ill and was in need of a primary care physician. I chose Dr. Leber after combing through my insurance company's list of covered providers. It has been over two years, and I am very pleased with Dr. Leber. She spends plenty of time with me each time I go into the office. She is VERY helpful, and I feel comfortable discussing anything with her. Her staff is lovely, and very attentive. My only negative would be that her handwriting isn't the best (what doctor's is?), and I have had issues at the pharmacy when bringing in handwritten scripts. Other than that, I am very pleased.
