I am the patient who wrote the review on how Dr. O’Brien is the MFM all the moms talk about (in the best possible way). I accidentally clicked on 4 stars but it should have been 5. If there were 100 stars I would click on that.

I just read a one star review on Dr.O’Brien and these reviews do not do her justice. She is one of the most hardworking and available doctors I have ever known. She is the one everyone at Winchester Hospital wants to see. She is the one the doctors there call for advice. She diagnosed my baby with a heart defect when I was 20 weeks pregnant and helped me with what could have otherwise been a very frightening experience. She transferred my prenatal care to Beth Israel because I needed to deliver close to Children’s. She was on call when I came in to deliver and I had a beautiful delivery of my daughter. Dr. O’Brien is a wonderful, kind person and I hope to see her again for my next pregnancy.

I just read a prior one star review of Dr O’Brien and have to write of my experience because she was incredible when I was transferred to Beth israel and it makes me mad that anyone would write anything bad about her. My blood pressures were through the roof, I was bleeding, I needed an emergency c section. She stayed at my side all night long making sure I was safe. I would recommend her hands down to anyone looking for a doctor who is conscientious, caring, and knowledgeable.

Dr. O’Brien looked after me during my difficult pregnancy with twins. She delivered my baby girls and I felt very well taken care of. She has an excellent bedside manner and is very calm and confident. I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. O’Brien always takes the time to explain things to me so I understand what is going on and have all the information to make the best decision. She remembers a lot of little details about me. She is very gentle and thoughtful. I have a lot of respect for her and like her very much.

When I was about 19 weeks into my pregnancy, my cervix dilated and I needed a cerclage. Dr. O’Brien was on call and put the cerclage in. She did a great job because now I am 36 weeks along and still going strong. She is super nice and friendly and made me and my husband feel very confident that things were going to be ok.

I got transferred in an ambulance from Anna Jacques Hospital when I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks. When I got to Beth Israel, I was met by Dr. O’Brien. She was so calm and gentle and had an excellent bedside manner. I needed an emergency c-section soon after I arrived and it was pretty scary but I felt that I was in very good and competent hands with Dr. O’Brien and she was very reassuring. Plus a nice thing was that I had seen her a couple of times up at Anna Jacques because Dr. O’Brien sees high risk patients up there for ultrasounds. So it was helpful to see a familiar face when I was transferred to Beth Israel.

I had a complicated pregnancy with diabetes and Dr. O’Brien and her staff were so thorough and nice. She is the best.
