Dr. Karen Koula Saravanos, MD

As an 18-year-old patient who had already been to 5 gynecologist prior who have not treated the issue I was presenting and then being promised care from a doctor that seemed to know what she was doing I was highly disappointed when she refused to see me for an appointment because the kind of birth control I was prescribed did not help with the pelvic pain I was experiencing. She pushed me aside because I was young and could not possibly be experiencing the amount of pain I was describing. I missed at least a week and a half of school every month because the pain was so bad I couldn't leave my bed or the bathroom floor where I had been sleeping because the pain made me throw up. I was prescribed birth control after birth control without getting any blood work up or any other tests to rule out anything and everything that could possibly be wrong with me. I ended up finding a doctor that actually knows how to treat pelvic pain and was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and lost parts of… my bowel and left ovary at the age of 19-years-old. She is not specialized in treating pelvic pain, at least in any female under the age of 40.

I wish we have more doctors like she is. Very, very kind, polite, always has time for me. Very knowledgeable, helpful. Excellent.

I 100% agree with another patient/reviewer that she is a very caring Doctor. And I too would love to have her as my Primary Doctor! She'll give you her recommendations, inform you about certain medications or procedures that might help you. But she will not ignore your concerns. Whether you decide A or B, she will be there for you

I have been a patient of Dr. Saravanos for years and she is I must say the best Doctor I have every had. She is caring, make you feel so much like a person and she is genuinely cares about your health. I wish she was my Primary Doctor too:)

I moved away and have returned and plan on going back to Dr. Saravanos. She is probably one of the best Dr's and the best personality of any Dr. I have experienced.
