Dr. Karen D Tellez-Jacques, DO

Let me start off by saying that I am not a person who normally takes time to write negative reviews- I normally have better things to do. However, I feel that our personal interaction with this doctor warrants some kind of warning to others. She was my dad's hospital physician when he was in for covid (making good progress- I might add). But her heartless, brutal words and actions discouraged him (and us) greatly. She made it known that she did not have any regard for unvaccinated individuals and made several comments to that effect. Any time my mom asked her a question about my dad's condition she cut her off or said "why do you need to know that?" and talked to her like an absolute dog. Her words, actions and the way she communicates with patients is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. To say she has abhorrent beside manner would be a compliment. I have personally never encountered a physician who was this openly prejudiced, rude, condescending, and just downright heartless and mean. I cannot… believe Novant Rowan allows this woman to care for patients, and I intend to make sure her superiors know what kind of a person she is. Her treatment of both my parents was absolutely despicable and she does not deserve her title or her job. Please do yourself a favor and do not allow this person to care for you or your family.
