Dr. Karen Faye Wilks, MD

I have been her patient many years and even though she is busy , she always makes the time for you, and her nurse Tammie will always get the answer for you and worked me in for problem the same day, I love Dr Wilks and Tammie

Dr. Wilks has been my doctor for number of years. However, my experience over the years with trying to get appointments, get follow-up questions answered has been quite poor. She refuses to speak with patients via a phone or email for follow-up questions. I have been told to schedule an appointment to get questions answered if I needed to speak to the doctor directly. However, I couldn't get an appointment until months later. Follow-up questions are handled by her nurse, and I've experienced her nurse giving me information that conflicts with the information from Dr. Wilks. Needless to say, I will not be going back. Unfortunately, I will be looking for another doctor.

She worked great under pressure delivering our baby. Obviously a skilled problem solver. She’s always kind and extremely sharp. She’s a joy to meet with and very friendly staff but her staff often drops the ball on communication.

My daughter, who is 33 years old, learned she was pregnant with her first child when she was 4-5 weeks along, and she called Dr. Wilkes's office immediately for an appointment. It was going to take about 5-6 weeks to get in for the initial appointment. At 7 1/2 weeks she started spotting heavily, and when she called the doctor's office on two different days trying to be seen to help prevent a miscarriage , both times times they refused to see her and told her to just lie down and not lift anything heavy. They gave her their next available appointment which was over three weeks away. The first three months is one of the most critical times in a woman's pregnancy since that is the time the baby is forming and taking on it own personal characteristics. My daughter was refused to be seen during this crucial time when a serious issue developed involving the life or death of her baby. After realizing Dr. Wilkes was not going to help my daughter, we took her to her family practitioner where… the nurse and the doctor looked at us in disbelief when we told them that Dr. Wilkes office refused to see her when she was bleeding. The doctor examined her and said this is something she needed to be seen for and ordered an ultrasound. Unfortunately, my daughter was heartbroken to learn she had lost the baby. I know that not every baby can be saved, but when a patient is pregnant and bleeding, their doctor should work them in. A bleeding condition should have some priority. Thank God for our family practitioner who will help guide us through the rest of this tragedy. Since Dr. Wilkes was not available during a critical, serious, and dangerous time during my daughter's pregnancy, she will be seeking a new doctor who is capable of seeing and caring for her during one of the most special and important times in her life-pregnancy and childbirth.

You would be better off delivering your own baby at home. Avoid this unprofessional hack

She is both sweet and upfront which I think are the qualities of a good doctor. The staff is kind and setting an appointment is very easy.

This doctor is super gross and has terrible surgical skills. Troll!

Dr Wilks has been my doctor for about 14 years. I love her and her nurse Tammy. They always are extremely nice and ask about my family. She has delivered two of my children with a third on the way. She has also forseen me through numerous complications and acts with compassion. Her patients truly matter to her. I trust her totally with my ob/gynecology care.

She is always attentive and is very prompt. Had an excellent experience delivering my second child. She discussed all the options because I am a women of advance maternal age. Tammy her nurse is wonderful. They both always returns calls and remembers details about you and your life which makes you feel like she cares.

Rude receptionist! Treats you like you have no other choice but this doctor. Very unprofessional!
