When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer I found myself facing something nobody wants to face. Once I digested the news I tried to educate myself as to the options etc. I also had to decide on a doctor and a hospital. Besides the cancer diagnosis I have an autoimmune that I feared could complicate my cancer treatment. My wife & I spoke with a couple of doctors and decided to keep looking. I contacted MSK and made an appointment with Dr. Touijer. When speaking with Dr Touijer we felt a sense of relief that this would be okay and that he was the right doctor to perform the surgery. He is very knowledgable, compassionate, and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. His care team is also excellent and also bring a human element to the process. I cannot say enough good things about the entire process, from the weeks leading up to the surgery, the day of, and the post-op care. My wife felt well informed with updates during the surgery. The surgery is a complicated one and you want a… doctor who knows what they are doing. Dr. Touijer and MSK were the right choice and I've never regretted making the choice to trust him with my future.

Dr. Karim Touijer is very knowledgeable about the procedures he performs. In addition to his knowledge, he is very respectful and caring to his patients. I was extremely fearful when I first approached him, but after listening to his recommendations I became eager to get my operation done.

It has been 4 years since my laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. I had no incontinence or impotence since the surgery. My PSA is under 005 to this day. He is the best choice of surgeons I could have ever selected. Thank you Dr. Touijer !

after a long research i selected Dr Karim Touijer and travelled to new york city from my home country. from the first time we met him me and my wife we trusted him. he is young, well trained, professional, compassionate and took a long time to explain to us everything. karim Touijer is very compassionate. i am young and had prostate cancer.happy to say "HAD" it was all because of him and his skills. i dont have cancer anymore but i have my full control all categories. this man is the person you need, humble and skilled surgeon. top notch in the world. easy to talk to.my wife says dr Touijer is a member of our family we adopted him.i am a big fan. if you have prostate cancer go see him even if you live far away like me (crossed the atlantic) definitely worthed.
