Scottish Rite for Children

Scottish Rite for Children, based in Dallas, Texas, is a world-renowned center of excellence in pediatric orthopedics. For more than 100 years, we’ve specialized in treating sports injuries, fractures and congenital orthopedic conditions, as well as select arthritic, neurological and learning disorders— including dyslexia. Our six Centers for Excellence in Spine, Hip, Hand, Foot, Limb Lengthening and Sports Medicine set the standard for compassionate, state-of-the-art care.

Our Story

In 1921, a group of Texas Masons approached Dallas’s first orthopedic surgeon, Dr. W.B. Carrell, to care for children stricken with polio. When the Salk and Sabin vaccines nearly eradicated polio in the 1950s, we seized the opportunity to broaden our expertise. Today, that legacy of innovation drives everything we do—from pioneering surgical techniques to cutting-edge rehabilitation programs.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive pediatric orthopedic treatment for spine, hip, hand and foot disorders
  • Advanced sports medicine services to prevent and repair athletic injuries
  • Limb-lengthening procedures and corrective treatments for congenital differences
  • Multidisciplinary care for arthritic and neurological conditions
  • Support for learning disorders such as dyslexia, integrating clinical therapy with educational resources

Our Commitment

At Scottish Rite for Children, our mission is simple: give children back their childhood. We invest in groundbreaking research, publish our findings in leading journals and train health-care professionals around the globe. By continually advancing treatment methods and sharing our expertise, we help ensure that every child can grow, learn and play to their fullest potential. If you’re seeking top-tier pediatric orthopedic care, partner with the specialists who have set the international standard for more than a century.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
