Dr. Kate Dorney, MD

Kate Dorney, MD, is an associate physician in pediatrics in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and serves as associate director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program. She is also an assistant professor of pediatrics and an instructor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dorney specializes in pediatric emergency medicine, caring for infants, children, and adolescents with acute illnesses and injuries. She earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her internship, residency, and chief residency through the Boston Combined Residency Program, followed by fellowship training in pediatric emergency medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine, her clinical and research interests include pediatric trauma care, injury prevention, and medical education.
