Katharine Andrews, MD

Katie Andrews, MD, PhD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who cares for children, teens, and families. Dr. Andrews has a special interest in the connection between mental health, behavior, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Her areas of focus include autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. Dr. Andrews works with patients and their families to better understand what may be affecting a child's emotions, behavior, learning, and daily life. She values caring for the whole family and helps families think through treatment options, goals, and next steps in a clear and practical way. Dr. Andrews earned bachelor's degrees in genetics and biochemistry from Texas A&M University. She earned her medical degree and PhD in medical neuroscience from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed residency training in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Mayo Clinic. Outside of work, Dr. Andrews enjoys gardening, baking, puzzles, and …music. She lives with her husband and their pets.
