Dr. Katharine Margaret Cronk, MD

Dr. Cronk is a smart, no-nonsense, surgeon who can be relied upon to competently perform your surgery. However, she is extremely stingy with post-operative pain medications, so unless you are the type of person who conks out after taking 5mg of oxycodone, I’d be careful about choosing her as your surgeon. Despite a somewhat brusque manner, I would have given her five stars except for the needless pain I suffered during my post-operative recovery.

I had pain radiating down both of my legs with really bad back pain. I had seen numerous surgeons who didn’t really give me a good feeling. I saw Dr. Cronk and everything changed. She spent a lot of time in the room with me and offered lumbar surgery. She called me the night before the surgery and reassured me about everything and check on me. The surgery went really well and I was out of the hospital the next day. It has been a few weeks now and I’m walking around my block again. It is so rare to find someone as talented and kind as Dr. Cronk. I’ve been telling all of my friends about her.

Went to Dr. Cronk for a consultation for back pain that radiated down both leg. Went to numerous surgeons before seeing her and I’m so glad I didn’t give up. Dr. Cronk spent close to an hour consulting with me. She offered a lumbar fusion but did caution me that it might not solve all my problems. The day of the surgery she came to see me in the morning and told me how it would go. Not only was it painless, but I was out of the hospital the next day. The pain in my legs is gone and I’m walking my neighborhood again. I’ve been recommending her to all my friends. It’s rare to see such a compassionate doctor who was willing to take so much time with me.

I went for a consultation and felt confident she could fix my scia3 pain.I woke up with no feeling in my left leg (which was the unaffected leg) ended up with massive infection and more surgery. What was supposed to day surgery ended up being hospitalized for 3 days the went to Rehab for a total of 42 days. I am extremely disappointed in the results. I have severe numbness in my left foot and ankle from this surgery.I recently found out I have a severely pinched nerve in the area of the surgery she did

I had previously seen two orthopedic surgeons for my spine condition and had also conferred with Dr. Google. After she reviewed my imagining, she carefully explained my problems areas, and talked treatment options. I left feeling educated and with a path forward. She is in my opinion one of the best physicians I have dealt with!

Dr. Cronk practically saved my life! I was diagnosed with double brain aneurysm and I was lucky enough to have her as my surgeon. She is a great human being and I would recommend her anytime....

Exceptionally competent neurosurgeon and a great person. I am extremely lucky to have her as my surgeon. Totally positive experience during my surgery and during the time I was under her care. The world needs more physician like her.

Dr Cronk to put it in one word is amazing. She helped save my life be removing a hockey puck size tumor rom my right frontal lobe. From the day I met her to the surgery was only four days apart and in that time she was able to help instill the confidence I needed to go through with the surgery, the operation went great she resected the whole tumor with no complications. Post surgery even in the darkest of hours for myself she was there to explain the science behind what was going on and she reassured me everything would get better. I know that sounds basic but coming out of a surgery like that little things like that are huge. My whole world felt different but dr Cronk and her team have been there for me every step of the way. I would recommend dr cronk to anyone who is in need of a neuro surgeon.
