Dr. Katherine Elizabeth Cornforth, MD

I loved Dr. Cornforth and trusted her for peri-menopause with tremendous symptoms. I drive 2 hours each way to see her. That's how important the care has been for me. We found hormones that worked for me. At my last exam, Dr. Cornforth said just to call in for refills. I have been trying for six weeks to get a refill. I am now out and hitting withdrawals. I have no idea why my calls aren't returned or why they go to voicemail. I feel betrayed to be hitting symptoms again just because of something simple like a refill call. My pharmacy has the meds ready and also requested the refill a week ago. Absolutely no response. I pay all my bills and have not been given any explanation. I would not trust this office. They do great work and then withdraw care and concern. There is a protocol for going off my HRT meds. They did not follow that and I am hitting cold turkey withdraws. I don't think any other patient should suffer like this so I will be filing a complaint.

The wait time is ridiculous. You wait 20 min in the waiting area and then another 45 min in the room for the doctor. You do not get notified when test results are in. They will sit there for days even a week without you being notified. When you cal and ask for your results they tell you the nurse will call you back and you normally don’t hear back for days. Unfortunately this time they received my results on Monday and did not bother to call me. This morning I was told I would be called back. I called at 450pm and was notified the doctor will not be back until Monday and I have to wait until then to get my results.

The staff is friendly and Dr.Cornforth is the best , she is very patient and really takes time to make sure you are taken care of. I definitely recommend!

Dr. Cornforth is great has always been great. Today she completely understood my concern and did something about it!!! She’s amazing!!

I had a great visit with the dr. Staff was very courteous, helpful and in great spirits. I do not drive far anymore but I do not mind the a 30-minute drive when everyone is so nice. Dr. Is great, explains everything thoroughly so there are no surprises.

Made me feel at ease, took time to talk with me and explain my options.

I will start by saying that Dr. Katherine Cornforth, MD is the BEST OB/GYN ever. I started seeing her when I was 18 and I am 27 now and have even referred 9 of my girl friends to her practice. She delivered my first child and I had the smoothest C-Section procedure with her. However, I will say that the office staff running the practice for her is the WORST OF ALL TIME. Unless you have an extra 3-4 hours in your day to wait around for the Doctor, you will not be able to receive her amazing care. It is obvious that the employees at this location hate their jobs with the super high turnover rate in the office. I have never had my blood pressure or weight checked by the same person twice in the 9 years I was a patient. They are rude and seem bothered by any question you ask them. They never give you an answer and hide and disappear every chance they can. I swear you give someone a free pair of scrubs and they suddenly think they are doctors who are too busy for the world. The office staff… seems to have communication problems; except for the times that they feel like openly disagreeing in front of me and argued with each other at the front counter. I witnessed plenty of unprofessionalism in my 9 years there, but I always put up with it because of my love for Dr. Cornforth. The office manager(s) breached our payment plan arrangement during my second pregnancy and for that reason I had to finally stop doing business with them. I am totally open to operational changes within a business but they’re approach of trying to deceive the reason for the change and lying about it 3 different ways until the truth was revealed was a major red flag. They finally admitted to making an error yet refused to honor the payment arrangement that was already months’ underway. These office manager ladies go to Career Point for 2 years and all of a sudden they think they are lawyers and accountants trying to negotiate business without practicing simple business principles. When I said I would have to leave their practice because they would not honor an agreement that we both had copies of, they had no other explanation but to promptly explain to me their exit protocol. They almost seemed proud for sticking to their guns. Why wouldn’t they be? As me leaving their practice does not and will not affect their minimum wage bi-weekly paychecks, but I’m sure if others knew what they were doing it, they would not be happy. I ended up with another OBGYN who will actually cost me $1000 more out of pocket which is unfortunate but shows it was never about the money, just the business priniciples.

I made an appointment with Dr Cornforth on the recommendation of a friend who spoke highly of her. However I was unable to get past the apparent apathy of her front office staff. it appears the staff she chooses to work for her are highly void of any compassionate customer care. One has to wonder if that does not extend or stem from values put forth by the doctor herself. No thank you, I'll go elsewhere. I scheduled my appointment two weeks in advance with the first appoint time at 9am on a Monday morning. A week later I recieved a call advising me that the doctor would not be available in the morning but rather the afternoon. Okay that works. A week later, the Friday before my appointment a 5:33, I received a voicemail staring the doctor would not be available in the afternoon and that I would need to reschedule for AM. Upon calling back a 5:37, I was informed the office closed at 5:30 and was routed to the answering service which did not access to scheduling. Called Monday… morning, day of appointment, and was given a well recited excuse as to the "why" and they were doing as instructed. Not once was any inconvince acknowledged on my part nor was I given an apology. This total lack of that acknowledgment and the fact that they sure were quick with an a excuse leads me to believe this is a common occurance.
