Dr. Katherine Elise Forte, MD

This doctor is great until you decide to go against her wishes. In my case, she wanted me to take birth control pills due to a family history of Ovarian Cancer and a first time incidence of a small ovarian cyst. I am older and although not trying to actively conceive, I am open to becoming a mother. If I take birth control, that will definitely not happen, so I told her I would hold off on this option at this time. She literally insulted, belittled and spoke down to me at my last appointment, in front of my mother, who was there with me as support since the family had been concerned with cancer. Furthermore, she didn't think I had any other underlying issues besides an ovarian cyst and didn't seem like she even wanted to examine me. To be honest, I didn't want her to examine me, but I knew something more was going on then a cyst and a yeast infection which were diagnosed with labs and an ultra sound (for the cyst) at my previous appointments. She did the examination and sure… enough, I now had a bacterial infection. She prescribed her favorite vaginal gel and I messaged to ask for a prescription of diflucan (to help with yeast infections because I get them instantly with this medication) as she had given in the past and she said the diflucan would not work so long as I was using the gel. She said no more, no less, no options, nothing, basically, she just wanted me to suffer with a yeast infection I knew I would get. Oh and if you check out her yelp reviews, this is not the first time she's done this is prescriptions. Sure go see her, so long as you don't question her or have other plans for your body than she thinks you should. As soon as you do that, you become her enemy and all compassion/bed side manners fly out the door.

I was a patient for a few years, but I've now changed doctors. She has become brusque and imperious. Talks about herself the whole appointment rather than asking me about my health. Doesn't listen anymore. She prescribed me hormones for menopause without asking if that's what I wanted and without discussing my history with blood clots. After I did my own research on the hormones, I called to discuss my concerns about my history with blood clots that the hormones specifically warns about. Her nurse said the doctor wouldn't speak to me about it on the phone and said "She's not worried about it." Obviously. Well, I'm glad she's not worried about it, but I am, and it is my health we're talking about. Her office staff is TERRIBLE. The nurse is kind of clueless, and the one who makes the appointments is incompetent and extremely rude. Plus every year they don't send the bills for months, and then the first one you get has a rude message that you're over 90 days late. Plus the office… building is creepy and old and dirty. She needs to retire since she talks about all her other hobbies. She has become uncaring, and I think she keeps this office staff to insulate her from actually having to have too many patients.

Professional, empathetic, full of answers and suggestions. I've been seeing her for 4 or 5 years and NEVER had a problem. I agree, I wish that her office staff were more friendly and professional, but I care MORE about seeing HER>

she is very cold and sterile, does not make pap smear experience any easier. she is VERY RIGID ON APPT TIME, IF YOU ARE RUNNING 10 MINUTES LATE THE start calling and after 15 minutes they cant see you. not very accomodating or friendly

I was prescribed a $200 pelvic ultrasound. There was a suspicious area, so I was sent to have a $1,300 hysteroscopy, which I was told had identified a thumbnail sized polyp which needed to be removed. I was sent to a surgeon to have a $1,700 Hysteroscopy and D&C to remove the polyp. The surgeon couldn't find the one the first hysterocopy positively identified.

Really listened to me. Got in and out quickly. Great bedside manner. As good as it gets for this kind of visit.

Office staff incrediably rude. Receptionist was on personal call when I walked in and was upset to cut her call short. Nurse became angry w/me for not calling back for tests results, this after she speciafically said it had been sitting on her desk for awhile. Nurse did not explain test results very well and was in a hurry to get off of the phone. No sympathy there!

Amazing! I was just a few minutes late and the office manager was in such a bad mode. She told me the doctor would no see me and didn't even offer to reschedule. No reason at all!
