Dr. Katherine C Ma, MD

If I could leave zero stars I would. Dr. Ma is a liar, pure and simple. I had a foot procedure done a year ago. Prior to the procedure, she told me several times I'd be healed in 2 weeks. A year later, I'm still not fully healed. I complained to the head of her department and no one seemed to care.

Awful experience. The receptionists are rude and Katherine Ma is arrogant and incompetent. Did absolutely nothing for my sprain except tell me to “learn to walk on my hands.” Complete waste of time and money. Find a different doctor.

Arrogant and diagnosed me with a minimal sprain when my foot was actually BROKEN Horrific experience-

My husband had ankle surgery on one ankle with Dr.Ma. . She really cares about her patients. He is a notoriously difficult patient but she worked very well with him in every way. He healed much faster than expected and he is going back for surgery on his other ankle to Dr. Ma . I Highly recommend her,she is truly an Exceptional Doctor.

Dr. Ma was super helpful to me.. She was honest, direct and took her time explaining each option... She also listens well! I would highly recommend her.

I grew up with flat feet and constantly would sprain my ankles during sports participation. I played college football and lacrosse, and can say with complete certainty that I have the worst ankles since Bill Buckner! After receiving variety of treatments and going through years of physical therapy I decided to consult with a surgeon for corrective surgery. Surgical options for me would be very invasive and require long, non-weight bearing recovery time. Making the decision to do surgery was not something that I went into taking lightly! The first surgeon I consulted with was very confident and had me ready for a very invasive surgery. After an MRI, it was discovered there was a complication that would jeopardize the long term success of the surgery. After seeing two other surgeons, I finally found Dr. Ma. I am very happy that I found her and the course of treatment she recommended has been nothing short of life changing for me. She took a very different approach, considering my large… size and active lifestyle. Dr. Ma is a professional, she speaks frankly and honestly with me while injecting her small-town charm. She made sure I was well cared for following my surgery and followed up in the days immediately following. She is also mindful of painkiller addiction and will only give you what you need. It's a little tough love, but a completely responsible approach. Some don't like that approach but speaking from experience it can be life saving! All of the Surgeons at CareMount are forward thinking and innovative. I also had my hip replaced with them and my quality of life has improved beyond my dreams. Thank you Dr. Ma!

I thought I was arrogant. Dr. Ma is the most arrogant dr I have ever met. “If you don’t do it my way, find another Dr,” This is the best advice she ever gave me. You have been warned.

The worst experience I ever had with a doctor in my 47 years. She absolutely will not communicate with you. She did not speak with me or my family after surgery. When I call the office you can never speak with her, only her assistant. She gave me one pain medication prescription before surgery. It ran out 5 days after surgery and she would not give me any more. 5 days after plates, screws, removal of lesion, and drilling holes in my bones I should be pain free she said, through her assistant because it is impossible to speak to her. I am finding another dr for follow up. All I can say is stay away if you like communication, respect, dignity, and compassion. Dr. Ma is the worst Dr. I have ever encountered.

I had an ongoing ankle issue for about 10 years. Something that required surgery, but I was too afraid to have it. Finally another orthopedic surgeon referred me to Dr. Ma. She is professional, yet extremely personable. She spent almost 45 minutes with me at our first meeting, really explaining what my problem was, and what the treatment options were. She went over all the details of the surgery in such a way that I could understand. I felt so comfortable with her. I am now 2 months after surgery and feel great!! I had forgotten what it was like to walk without pain! Dr. Ma is an excellent doctor and will recommend to family & friends.
