Dr. Constantine Antony Demetracopoulos, MD

Called the office to make an appointment and someone hung up on me after arguing with me. Tried to make a complaint to the hospital and it was clear I was not believed and they obviously forced me to share the blame in this incident.

Trying for months to get followup while in a great deal of pain response, staff never answer calls, occasionally responds to message and brushes off concerns "he wont call you back for a month, he's teaching." No response. Dealing with serious injury pain, left to suffer. Dr. Constantine A. Demetracopoulos had promised me in office after exam he will call me that night after looking at MRI/

I wish I could give him 10 stars he did 2 ankle replacements and they both are GREAT! I wouldn't think about going to another ankle surgeon.

Dr. Demetracopoulos gave me my walking feet back. After needing two ankle replacements I am walking pain free. If you need foot surgery Dr. Demetracopoulos listen, and even more cares about helping your needs. He saved my life and I thank God for him everyday.

Terrible wrong diagnosis. Did not reply to questions about the "incorrect" diagnosis

Despite practicing at the supposedly prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery ("HSS"), Dr. Demetracopoulos is a horrible, sub-par doctor who carelessly - and needlessly - inflicts pain, manhandles the patient, and in my case, made my condition much worse than it was. After first taking the wasteful (and costly) Xrays at HSS showing a severely arthritic foot, I was not expecting to be subjected to any pain by the doctor in examining the obviously tender affected areas. But Dr. Demetracopoulos proceeded to pressure-press the epicenter areas of the pain and arthritic damage(!), prompting me to tell him several times that the pressing of his thumbs into the tender areas was hurting me. His response was to smirk and say, "That hurts?" Ignoring several requests not to inflict pain, he then attempted to simulate an ankle twist. When I winced, his nasty comment was: "I can't believe you can move your toes when the arthritis is so far along." If the arthritis is "so far along,"… then what purpose could pressure-pressing the damaged parts of my foot possibly serve, other than to make them worse? Why bother taking Xrays to show the problematic parts of the foot in the first place? The net result was that Dr. Demetracopoulos's abusive treatment made my condition much worse, causing my foot and ankle to swell, a bone spur to become more prominent, and the pain to become much more severe than it had previously been. We put our trust in the professionalism of doctors, and of institutions such as "HSS" that advertise their alleged ability to get people "back in the game." But what I experienced was a serial abuser - a doctor with zero regard for patient care, treatment or professionalism. My foot is paying the price of his abusive treatment.

Dr D saved my daughter Victoriass foot and she is able to walk after a terrible ski accident. He has gone above and beyond what any other dr has done. He came and visited her near midnight to make sure she was comfortable after surgery. He is an AMAZING Dr. I would recommend him to everyone. !!!!!!!!
