I had a very unpleasant visit with her on 6-18-26. I came in to rule out other possible health issues beside my pots diagnosis. Knowing my chronic pain she asked insensitive questions like how I like being 17 knowing I'm chronically ill and use a cane. Read the room. She took notes of all my symptoms only to later dismiss it as due to anxiety and depression. While I do currently have long standing anxiety depression has not been something I've dealt with for over a year now. She continued to press the issue of therapy and psychiatry even though im doing so much better mentally since stopping. I was also on pysch meds for 2 years that all significantly worsened my metal state and SI. I told her my diagnosis of pmdd (The reason for bad mental health in the past and why I take Birth Control) Which is the ONLY treatment that helps my mental health - (Because I have PMDD) not SSRI's.) Somehow that was the only thing she missed writing that in her notes. This visit was very frustrating and… felt as if I can never get away from the past when it is not longer my present. I felt very invalidated and dismissed and did get brought to tears after the visit due to how frustrating it was. I'm not sure she even knew what PMDD was because she didn't seem to understand why I was on birth control at first and kept asking questions on why I take it even though I said I had pmdd. She wrote everything I said I notes except for that which is the whole reason I ever struggled mentally. It's so hard when doctors who are supposed to help you completely invalidate you and assume the reason they think you're in pain when they don't know your day to day life. I've truly never been happier since stopping therapy and pysch meds and getting on birth control. I do not know where or why mental health got even brought in the topic when I just wanted to rule out any autoimmune disorders. She also asked weird questions that came off as insensitive and she was severely lacking social cues. I also saw in her notes that said there was no chest pain, shortness of breath, diarrhea or nausea when that is exactly what I feel everyday and voiced that to her. I don't know where she came to the conclusion that that wasn't the case for me.
