Dr. Katherine Anne Seymour, MD

After a thorough search for a new primary care physician accepting new patients, and within a certain driving range, I found Dr Kate Seymour. I had written my questions down prior, and all were addressed. I've been back, and she follows up via both the patient web portal and phoning directly when needed. I have no complaints.

I had been looking for a good female PCP for a while now and had gotten a referral to Dr. Gandhi. Unfortunately, she wasn’t accepting new patients but luckily Dr. Seymour was-and I’m so glad! She took the time to listen and ask questions about who I was, my life, the stresses I’ve experience and fully addressed every single one of my concerns. I am a vegetarian and she quickly added B12 to my lab check. I feel like I’ve finally found a compassionate doctor who truly cares. I see myself being her patient for many years to come. Additionally, I was in and out under an hour and the woman in the lab had the steadiest hand; I couldn’t even feel a thing. Run-don’t walk to see Dr. Seymour

I saw Dr. Seymour and she missed something important I had written down on my form. She didn't say much and didn't ask me questions. I felt as though I was left to ask her and try to figure out what I needed myself. Her communication skills are horrible and after I verbally told The medical care coordinator and the front desk that I did not wish to see her as my physician anymore, she then sent me a letter saying she could no longer see me as a patient. Unbelievable! She totally turned it around on me. I was never able to let her know directly that she simply wasn't a good fit for me as a physician, because I could not get her on the phone. Instead, I told the medical care coordinator over the whole practice that I did not want to see her again and I told the front desk employee, Kim, that I did not want to see Dr. Seymour anymore. If I had been given a chance to speak with Dr. Seymour directly, I would have told her my concerns about the lack of communication, questions, and… overall a lack of thoroughness. She also did not refer me to an ear nose and throat doctor, which I desperately needed. I saw her at the Heritage Medical location in Franklin, TN. I was told by her former practice that she left that practice to go to Hermitage Medical in Franklin, TN. I did not trust her with my medical care and that is why I told Heritage Medical that I no longer wanted to see her and I requested my medical records at the front desk. Dr. Seymour should NOT have sent a letter to me, terminating me as a patient. Instead, she should have sent a letter reiterating my wishes to sever the Dr. Patient relationship between her and I and her acceptance of the fact. By the time I received the letter, I had already seen another family physician from Saint Tomas, two days earlier. He was very good and very thorough. I now have my referral to an ear nose and throat doctor, which I desperately needed and he is addressing my issues that she did not proactively handle. I am definitely in much better care now. I would caution anyone seeing Dr. Seymour, as I feel she is not a good physician.

Dr. Seymour is an incredible family physician. She is always taking time to talk to my husband and I. I really feel like she cares about our health. After seeing some of these reviews, I had to share that my personal experience is the exact opposite of others on this site. I will follow Dr. Seymour to any location she decides to move to - she is that good!

This person may have earned the education needed to be called Dr. You can sure do better as far as a physician who really cares about your health!! It would NOT be this person!! She is VERY COLD & UNCARING!

Have lived in Nashville area for 3 years and was getting discouraged with a search for a general family doctor. Friends recommended Dr Seymour and I am so pleased. She was kind and caring, but extremely professional. She let me talk and took time to answer all my concerns. She is helping me address some long term issues that no one else ever seemed to want to do. As a senior citizen, I realize most doctors are going to be younger than me, however, I believe Dr Seymour shows maturity and good judgement, even as a young physician!
