Dr. Katherine Rose Tuttle, MD

I have seen 7 doctors over 4 months (not including ER) for my kidney case. At first since the diagnoses was obvious it was pretty easy to be a good doctor however problems persisted past stuck stone removal. Testing (I mean a lot of testing! Imaging and blood tests out the ying yang!) were inconclusive or negative. Why am I telling you all this? Because every doctor seems to have barely tried in comparison to Tuttle. And I think 5 out of the 6 were good doctors who knew their field and were compassionate but they gave up looking when an answer was not obvious (but still could have been life threatening!) The differences I found: She clearly believes something is wrong (although sometimes I even doubt myself) She actively looks for a diagnoses She checks in after a visit She examines many possible issue areas where other doctors only touch the painful spot and are done In doing this, she found answers. This is the difference between a good and great doctor. On a final… note, if you have the pleasure of dealing with her assistant, Jackie, you are in for a treat. Whether her cheerful goofiness is an act or not it is very much appreciated when you are scared and need a smile.
