Dr. Kathleen Anne Carroll, MD, MD

Dr carroll gatekept me from seeing a doctor at the center for vulvovaginal disorders at magee. If you have vulvar pain, you need to go there. She only offered me antidepressants for vulvar pain like it was 1950. I ultimately needed a doctor who listened and a hymenectomy. Left an appointment in tears 10 years ago thinking I was broken. Finally started seeing better gynecologists who escalated my case of lifelong pain to gynecologists who specialize in it. I have no idea why doctor carrol never bothered. I can only assume that she thought my pain was not real.

Her bedside manner is superb, she is always acting out of kindness, honesty, and what’s best for her patients. She doesn’t make you feel like a number and we were blessed to have her as part of our OB/GYN group throughout all my pregnancies.

She is terrible, uncaring, and rude. Don't bother even asking for her to be paged if she is on call because she will treat you like you are stupid, and act as if you are bothering her. Why on earth is she even doing this job?

Excellent doctor; listens; explains and makes recommendations. Very pleasant and easy to talk to. I changed gene's after going to one for over 20 years and so glad I did!

It was my very first appointment (I'm 25), and I was super nervous, and she made me feel comfortable, and did not berate me for not seeing an OBGYN when I was younger. She was very quick, and talked me through everything, and she was very nice. She answered all of my questions, and I left feeling better about my visit.

I have only seen Dr. Carroll one time, but I only saw her because my last doctor was not available for that day. Se was so nice, friendly and asked me personal and health question that my last doctor did not even ask at all... I did not feel rushed and that is why I am going back to her for my next check up.

After 12+ doctors, Dr. Carroll has finally given me hope!!!! I'm never leaving. :)

I rotated through all the Drs in this practice for my first pregnancy and actually thought Dr Carroll might be "too calm" for my personality. It turns out, I delivered a month early and she was the Dr who delivered my son. Her bedside manner is amazing for appointments, and her whole demeanor was perfect for delivery. She spends as much time as you need with her. Never did I feel rushed. When I went for my 6 week follow-up, she was excited to learn that my baby was in the waiting room with my husband and she came out to see him. I'm now pregnant with baby #2 but no longer live in Pittsburgh. I wish I could travel back just to have Dr Carroll as my Dr again.

I have been waiting to meet a doctor like this... what great bedside manner. She actually cared and listened to what you say instead of most of the other docs in the practice.
