Dr. Kathleen Mary Courtney, MD

If I could give zero star, I would. We called the office on weekend because our kid falls off while trying to climb on a cart. Dr. Courtney was the one on call. When we described the situation to her, all we heard from her is we should take our kid to an urgent care nearby. We were expecting to have a video call so that at least she would see how our kid was hurt. So as some suggestions afterwards, but nothing! Our pediatrician would never do that, ever! But with Dr. Courtney, we got thus rush, cold suggestion which we don’t need her to tell us…… disappointed and wasted our time.

Dr. Courtney is AMAZING!!! We love her so much. She is so warm, caring, kind and patient with the children. She always goes above and beyond for her patients, and always offers to be available by phone on off hours when she isn't in the office. We are so glad she is our children's pediatrician!

I was originally supposed to see a different doctor at the practice when my child was born but ended up seeing Dr. Courtney -- years later, I am still overwhelmingly grateful at that twist of fate. As a first time mom, Dr. Courtney was always patient and available no matter what the question was regarding my child. She is compassionate, intelligent and fantastic with the children. We have had some medical issues with my child and Dr. Courtney has never hesitated to send us to a specialist for (at the very least) a second opinion. I credit her with picking up on things that other doctors did not for which I am forever grateful. This is a doctor who will listen to you and always asks if you are comfortable with how she wants to proceed -- you never feel things are out of your hands which is comforting in difficult times. By far, the best I could have hoped for in a pediatrician!

Attentive, caring, great approach to children.We had Dr Cortney for 4 years now and never have been disappointed.

Dr. Courtney is "hands down" THE BEST!!! I have never been more comfortable with a dr's care/advise/answers when it comes to my children. She is so genuine with my kids and I'm sure everyone else's that she cares for. I have twins and since they have started seeing her, she knows who is who, comes right up to them in the wtg area, and is just truly AMAZING at her job! I have recommended her to my friend (who goes to her and loves her just as much as I do)....I would be so bummed if she ever left Winchester Pediatrics (although, I'd follow her if it was close enough...that's how great she is lol)...Also, the staff at the desk is amazing too (I definately have a couple favorites, but I won't name names, hahahahaha), they are all pretty great though! So basically, I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Courtney and her "crew" : )

The only difficultly is trying to call the doctors office, the phone is either busy or they are out to lunch

Dr. Courtney listens when a parent talks.She speaks directly to your children. I have two daughters and she is by far the best doctor I have had. I love all the doctors in this practice but she relates the best to our family

Dr. Courtney has been my (4) children's doctor for 2 years now and has been a great supporter of my desire to blend traditional medicine with alternative therapies. She's been supportive of my breast feeding, use of an alternative vaccination schedule and very encouraging of my desire to abstain from antibiotics whenever possible. She is young and often check and double checks her charts and consults with other doctors; but you get the sense that she is building a wealth of experience and would rather check things out than pretend she knows it all at a young age. She appreciates parental input and respects parental decisions and really takes the time to think things through before taking action.
