I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Lavorgna. I was referred to Dr. Lavorgna by my ob/gyn when I had a suspicious cyst. It was benign but I continued to see her for yearly exams. As it turns out about 3 years later I learn that I have tested positive for the BRAC2 cancer gene mutation. Dr Lavorgna and I developed a monitoring plan that ended rather abruptly when she order a baseline MRI. A spot was detected and I said I want a PBM (Prophylactic Bilateral Mastectomy). within 2 days, she lined up surgery to coincide with my schedule and that of a busy plastic surgeon. She did the legwork and took the worry off my shoulders. She masterfully removed my breasts...leaving one with feeling, which is rare. She is kind, extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. She feels like a warm hug when everything around you feels uncertain. She is straightforward with information but is gentle in her approach. And she recommended one of the best plastic surgeons around, Dr.… Goldman. Their comradery and teamwork approach led to a seamless surgery and recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Lavorgna.
