Dr. Kathleen R. Rivera, MD

Dr Rivera was the first psychiatrist to take her time and listen to my story, to my symptoms. She walked me through possible diagnoses as well treatment strategies. She encouraged me to do my own research of the proposed treatments and offered a close follow up appointment to discuss how I wanted to proceed.

First and last time a physician will raise their voice to me and tell me my experience didn't happen. Huge ego but Dr. Rivera grossly misdiagnosed me. Office personnel cover for each other's oversights. What a miserable experience and they get away with these standards of "care". Always get a second opinion if you are diagnosed by Dr. Rivera.

I would recommend that anyone seeing Dr. Rivera get a second opinion about the diagnosis she gives. She was so far off that it was terrifying to think such a mistake could be made and not everyone has the opportunity to seek better help. Very rude also.

Very upsetting experience. I was invalidated when l told her of a concern with my appointments being changed without my even being told. Fortunately, l left for another psychiatrist and she did not cooperate with releasing her notes.

Was stunned by the arrogance and rude attitude. Have never had a doctor raise their voice to me before. Such a disorganized office. I, too, was badly misdiagnosed and prescriptions were never filled in a timely fashion. Strict, pompous doctor without patient's best interests (help) in mind.

Dr. Rivera is very controlling and rigid and did not follow tthrough with what I needed done for another doctor's request. I felt very judged and I suffered due to the misdiagnoses (yes more than one) that she decided on-----cannot recommend her to anyone.

I find Dr. Rivera very controlling and too quick to judgement. Neither l nor my child find her easy to trust or feel like she actually cares.

Blames the parents if child's treatment does not go well.

Bad tempered,egotistical and willfully with holds treatment. Do not expose yourself to her intentional mean nature.
