Dr. Kathleen Marie Stornelli, MD

I have had her as a primary for about 3 years. At first, she was very thorough, but no bedside manner. However, have noticed quite a change in that lately. She is friendlier, much more attentive and talkative. She listens to what you say, explains things well and asks questions. I am now quite comfortable with her. However, it is quite a hassle to get through to her office. You can never speak to anyone directly and must leave a message. The office staff is not always prompt in returning your calls. The medical center as a whole should improve the customer service standards of their employees. People at the check in desks rarely even look at you. I dread going to the lab for blood work because the employees are so rude.

We love Dr. Stornelli. She is the best we have ever had. She is friendly, caring, compassionate and willing to spend the time each patient needs her for.

Dr. Stornelli is an excellent doctor. She will spend the time with you and talk to you to make sure she is meeting all your needs. However, her office staff is horrible! They never answer the phones and seem so disorganized. I have been waiting to talk to someone for a week on a prescription refill. I have left messages and filled out the prescription refill form online. The pharmacy has also attempted to contact them twice. I think I will be looking for a new doctor. I want the whole efficient package, doctor and staff, to work with me.

I feel that she is very thorough and knowledgeable but I can't get past her terrible bedside manner. Never smiles, never says hello or goodbye. She was very cold to me. I'm not the most outgoing person so I usually cut people some slack in this department but I did not feel comfortable with her. And one time I waited 1 1/2 hours in the waiting room, with my 3 children to see her for a 3 second follow up visit. Did not even make eye contact or talk to me. She checked me, said something to the nurse and walked away.

Dr Stornelli is a kind & caring physician. She does spend alot of time with you and really tries to get to know you. My appointments with her end to run long, but she seems to try to stay on schedule. I have had to wait in the exam room on one visit which was a bit longer than I like, but I try to remember she is trying to care for another patient in the same manner I want to be taken care of. I recommend trying to get an early appointment or one right after lunch if waiting is an issue for you. I have had probably 6 appointments with her in the past 2-3ys since she started her practice, and honestly I'm hoping she stays for sometime.
