She earned her medical degree from UC San Francisco School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her OB/GYN residency at UC San Francisco, followed by a joint fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Stanford University Medical Center and UC San Francisco Medical Center.
