Dr. Kathleen Jo Yost, MD

I love Dr Yost. She's very knowledgeable and tells it like it is. She's friendly and kind.

Dr. Yost is probably brainy. I can't tell because I cannot get past her indifferent exterior. She seems uncaring.

Very knowledgeable; however can be cold and impersonal. At times appears annoyed with questions, but will answer them. I believe her efficiencies and skillset contribute to her "icy" personality. If something is bothering her (ex. new office computer system), it tends to carry over into her attitude with patients. She is highly skilled, so some of her coolness can be overlooked. She does tend to push her own agenda versus really listening to the patient; can recommend aggressive treatment when it may not be needed. There is little or no follow up after treatment by her office. You have to call her if you have concerns or need something. That is a bit disturbing. Also, you have little choice in appointment dates/times. Her office calls and tells you when you are scheduled.

She is a smart doc but has a cold, impersonal personality.

Dr. Yost is probably very knowledgeable but it is impossible to get to know her. She has a personality like a computer.

While Dr. Yost appears to be knowledgeable, her bedside manner is cold and uncaring.

Provided false hope for my mother rather than provide a realistic time frame for her diagnosis. My mother adored her, until Dr. Yost failed to meet an appointment shortly before her death. My mom had a scheduled appointment and Dr. Yost knew she was there waiting for her - despite several pages and phone calls - she failed to meet with my mom. Time my mom could have spent doing things she loved and spending time with her loved ones was spent chasing options that were beyond a realistic possibility given her diagnosis. She stole time from us and was not realistic/honest with my mom regarding her diagnosis.

Dr. Yost has a cold and uncaring demeanor and she gives the impression that you are bothering her. She has the worst bedside manner on the planet.

Dr. Yost has the worst office and bedside manner of any physican who has ever cared for me.
