Dr. Kathrine Elowe Adams, DO

I found Dr. Adams to be incompetent. She draws conclusions without facts. When presented with official documentation of her errors she is unapologetic and snide. She clearly suffers from Body Dysmorphic Disorder, it's rather sad to see actually. People around her suffer from her strong Narcissistic Personality Disorder, (God Complex Disorder) which is presented in her dismissive attitude towards her patients and coworkers. While I was her patient, AGAINST MY WILL, she discontinued medications I had taken for many years (8 mg Xanax/Day), risking my life from withdrawal. I was also not provided with an extremely important heart medication risking my life further (I have suffered 2 Heart Attacks), and a CPAP I need due to potentially fatal sleep apnea was also withheld. Furthermore, in a non-private setting. she severely criticized my personal physician by name, who has kept me well and alive for over 15 years and has a very successful practice in this town. She violated HIPPA laws by… sharing my personal medical information with individuals outside of the hospital, despite the fact that I specifically refused to allow her to do so. I was very clear, stating that it would be a mistake to do so by calling it "continuation of services" and that I fully expected her to keep my medical information private. That is a Felony, which I am pursuing through the NY Justice Center, The NY Joint Commission, The Office of Mental Health, The NY State Department of Health, The Office of Professional Conduct, The Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of Medical Affairs at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY and Law Enforcement Agencies both state and federal. At best, her professional judgement is spine-chilling and actually dangerous. I would not send anyone in need of any type of medical care to her. God help anyone who finds themselves under her care. If I were in the position to, I would terminate her employment immediately. Should you be unfortunate enough to be under her care, she can do no wrong, just ask her.

Avoid her at all costs! She's only a 4th year and is a know it all. Provides false information, very condescending, and plain nasty! Tried telling me Seroquel is an antidepressant and when another mental health professional said I should be on a antidepressant she said they're not a doctor and they don't know what they're talking about, then when I told her what antidepressant works good for me tells me it doesn't and will give me so and so side effects. Um hello! I told you it works good for me and I don't have those side effects. Now going to a better psychiatrist who actually LISTENS to their patients. She should NOT be in charge of a whole unit at Manatee Glens. This lady would not listen to me or the nurses about how I don't sleep on the medications she was giving me. Very hard doctor to work with, and many other clients and nurses agree. She refused to see me "because I seen her too many time", well you if you did your job correctly I wouldnt have to keep requesting to see you.… This lady has a very serious mental illness herself and you can just see it when you look at her. She should be fired. Every clients nightmare.
