Dr. Kathryn Mackenzie Carlisle

If I could give this provider zero stars I would. Dr Carlisle was the resident OB on call when I went to the ER about 10 days post C-section. My bp was 77/61, heart rate pushing 200 at one point and a fever of 104. She was extremely dismissive and condescending to the point that she tried telling me I was sick from a virus my son had 3 days ago and the back pain I had breathing in was not relevant and I must’ve pulled a muscle. After her evaluating me she tried to discharge me. If I did not advocate hard for myself I am pretty sure I would not be here today. I was diagnosed with severe sepsis and the back pain was kidney pain from the infection. I left the hospital multiple days later with a midline because it was an antibiotic resistant bacteria. She left my room after double checking my temp on the thermometer when I told her how high it was because she didn’t believe me and didn’t return. Her bedside manner is awful to say the least. This happened 10 months ago and obviously her… care has had a really negative effect on me mentally postpartum and I hope no one else has to experience her care which is why I felt compelled to finally write this review.

Dr. Carlisle's bedside manner is top tier. She is pleasant and is present, never once felt rushed and I was a handful despite my anxiety due to a multitude of health issues Ive been dealing with in and out of her office for the past year. She explained my options thoroughly which helped me to make the best decision for my problem. She is by far one of the best Dr.s I've. encountered.
