Kathryn has the experience needed, and is very patient, kind and relatable when discussing health issues. The office and staff are professional and do a great job with following up. I highly recommend Dr. Davis. She has great bedside manner, listens to what you say and in my experience, gives excellent care based on what she finds.

Dr. Davis is professional, compassionate and always does what is in the best interest of the patient. In addition, her staff is very competent and caring.

I needed to switch doctors from my previous doctor a about five years ago and came across Dr. Davis on the CHP website. Her location was extremely convenient as it was very close to my house. What I did not know is how major of a mistake this would become. I have been with her for two or three years now only because I have been able to put up this office's crap until now. They hardly ever answer the phone, and when they do they always say that they will have to call back with a firm answer. Which 4/5 if not 5/5 times they don't call back at all and you have to continually call them to get a response. When you leave a message on their machine it isn't returned, no matter how important or imperative the situation is. There is not even a way to leave a message on their phone after hours either. Nor are their hours correct on their automated machine either. There is also the issue of scheduling appointments, forget about same day appointments cause that won't happen, your lucky if you can… get in that same week. Then the times are hardly ever valued, you could wait to get in for around a half an hour even when you came in on time for your appointment. Dr. Davis herself does not spend adequate time with her patients, I mean I'm not asking for her to sit down and get to know me enough to write a book about me, but her idea of enough time is a joke. If you tell her anything about yourself she won't remember, I don't know how many times I have told her that I don't go by my first name, I go by my middle name, yet she continues to call me by my first. Or how many times I have told her I don't live in Tallahassee anymore. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be switching doctors, trying to get in touch with them is stressful enough let alone trying to get any information out of them.

I have been visiting Dr. Davis for a few years. I am rarely ill, but when I am in need of urgent care, I can never get an appt. Interestingly, I recently had some fairly major surgery for skin cancer. When I visited Dr. Davis several weeks later for a prescription renewal, she made no mention whatsoever of the cancer. Not a "Hi, how are you doing since your surgery??? NOTHING) In addition, last year I was admitted to TMH with chest pain. I underwent a lot of tests while an inpatient and also during the next week. I had called Dr. Davis' office to inform her what was happening (in the hopes that she would assist with any info she had in my history..what a waste of time on my part). No one EVER returned my calls. When I called Dr. Davis' office to get test results (stress test, lab results, etc.) a very BORED sounding nurse blew me off and said they didn't get anything. OK...hmmm...I asked the "nurse" if they would request the results. She was extremely bored (umm..yah know,… lahk..ummm hmmm). The final straw was today when I FINALLY got Ashley to return the call she made to me on Monday (today is Wednesday). I have to tell you it was like talking to someone with no brain...she read my "numbers". And did the "ummm hmmm.." VERY BORED and DISINTERESTED. I suppose Dr. Davis and her staff believe that dumping "numbers" on her patients fulfills her obligation as a physician. I have never experienced such nonsense in my life. She said, "Your Vitamin D is low and your cholesterol is 259." PERIOD. HELLO! what do you want me to do with that? I actually asked her what my HDL, LDL, and triglycerides were and the ratios. This is very very basic information. This is NECESSARY information needed to manage my health. HELLO! My health? However, you would have thought I asked her to build an atomic bomb. I was embarrassed for her and angry that a "nurse" could not answer such basic questions. Ashley suggested I "broil" my meat, don't eat dairy, and exercise vigorously for at least 30 mins a day. HELLO again, Dr. Davis. I am a vegan, I consume about 2 tablespoons of nonfat milk a day in my coffee. The REAL kicker is that I am 62 years old and have metal rods in both of my big toes. So much for kick boxing and jogging, Ashley. I mentioned all of the above to her, and her response was, "Ummm hmmmm...yah." RUN FOR YOUR LIFE BEFORE PUTTING YOUR HEALTH INTO THESE PEOPLE'S HANDS. By the way, Dr. Davis never asked TMH for my angiogram and stress test. "Ummm hmmmm...yah."

Dr. Davis has the best bedside manner I've ever encountered in a doctor. She spends plenty of time with you during your appointment and listens carefully to what you're saying. She is very balanced: if you need a medication, she prescribes one, but she doesn't view medication as the answer to everything, unlike so many doctors. The reason I am switching to a new doctor, however, is because I can never get in to see Dr. Davis when I need to. In the nearly five years she has been my primary, I have never been able to get a same-day appointment when I was ill. Yearly checkups have to be scheduled at least five months in advance and only at certain times of the day. I have never been able to get an appointment later than 3:30, no matter how far in advance. And now she is closed on Wednesdays. Not long ago, I was sent to the ER for something that needed to be taken care of that day, but was not at all an emergency. When I was at the ER, the nurse told me that Dr. Davis had been… sending them a large number of patients for several weeks and almost none of them were critical problems that the ER should be taking care of. (Things like UTI, pinkeye, etc.) It had gotten to the point that the hospital was considering lodging a complaint with TCPA. The breaking point came this week. I had had lab work ordered by both Dr. Davis and a specialist. My specialist reviewed the results with me and expressed much concern about two of the readings, telling me to follow up immediately with Dr. Davis. I checked my voicemail as I left that appointment. There was a message from Dr. Davis' office, saying that my lab results were fine. I don't know if she didn't read them thoroughly or if she didn't read them at all, but I will be calling CHP to change primary doctors tomorrow.

I have known her for a long time. Also have moved with her when she moved to diferent offices. I also feel comfortable having a female physician. She spends the time needed, when I am seeing her in her office.
