Dr. Kathryn Davis, MD

I had a tough experience because the doctor on call which happened to be Dr. Davis, during my son's delivery didn’t provide the support I needed. She only came to the room twice (for 2 minutes) after my labor began and left the nurses to handle everything. Even when my son's heart rate started speeding up because he was having a hard time moving down the birth canal, it took her a long time to come back into the room even after multiple calls from the nurses. When she finally arrived, she told me I needed to continue pushing even though my son was stuck because he was too far down, and if she performed a C-section, he could suffer brain damage. During the conversation she seemed annoyed and almost like she was too lazy to do a C-section which is why I had to continue pushing. I ended up pushing for over six hours, and it was really traumatic experience for me. She didn’t listen to my wishes at all. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

Horrible dr. Spent 5 min at my appointment. performed labs on me that I didn't consent to and now I'm responsible for paying.

Dr.Davis has been my doctor for 4 years through two pregnancies and I’ve had a great experience. Her bedside manner is wonderful and she’s put me at ease regarding any concerns while thoroughly answering my questions. She takes her time at appointments and truly seems to love her job and care for her patients.

Just went through a particular difficult personal medical situation and Dr Davis was there and supportive through it all!! She was there when I needed and that’s what makes a great doctor! Been a patient with her for 3 years !

I have been a patient of her for 1 year and after my whole birth experience I will never go back to her again. I found out I was pregnant and made my first appointment with her. At my appointment I got no paperwork, she was in a whatever attitude and I didn't really get any info that I was expecting at this appointment. I told her I had some issues with blood pressure and she told me I would be fine. Every appointment that I would see her, she would never check me she would just ask me how I'm feeling check the heartbeat and that's it. At each appointment my blood pressure kept creeping up and she did nothing about it. I'm about 7 months now and all of sudden she rushes me to the hospital doesn't tell me why - I was scared, and no clue what was going on - she had absolutely no sympathy with what I was going through. SHe knew I had high blood pressure issues and let it go as far as it did where I had to have my baby early due to severe preeclampsia. EVena t my 6 week appointment,… normally you are supposed to be "checked" she just looked at me told me I was fine to go about my normal activities and that since I had a c-section she didn't need to "check" me. She did not care at all, because she rushed out of the room and when i walked out she was on her cellphone gossiping about a patient of hers. I wish so much that I read the reviews on this site beforehand, because as I read these reviews I was like wow its true, people experience exactly what I experienced. If she controlled my blood pressure right from the beginning I wouldn't have lost a month and a half with my son being in the Nicu. I will never return again - Please beware when going to this doctor, she does not care and seems like she hates her job.

I genuinely don’t think some of these reviews are real because Dr.Davis is such an incredibly kind doctor - she actually listened to me and helped me discuss all my options when I talked about my intense pelvic pain and when I expressed my fear about pelvic exams. She talked me through every part of treatment options and even said “if you were my daughter, this is what I would do..” and answered all my questions kindly. When I went in for surgery last week she made sure I felt relaxed about my procedure and even made me laugh (even though I was secretly scared). When my results came back positive for endo she was very prompt to email me about my results. I cannot recommend Dr.Davis enough and I know a family friend who has also had equally good experiences with her.

I delivered my first baby in NWH and she was my OB. Every appointment with her lasts less than 5 minutes. She has NO bedside manners and doesn’t care about anyone genuinely at all. I’m all for straight shooters but a bit of warmth and concern doesn’t hurt from a DOCTOR! Never going back to her. She can learn a thing or two from Dr. Dolinger who’s in the same practice.

If you’re a pregnant mother seeing Dr. Davis, run for the hills. If you’re looking for an OB/GYN, keep searching. Dr. Davis delivered by first born much to my dismay because she the doctor that was on call for my practice when my daughter arrived. Dr. Davis had zero bedside manner and did not respect my wishes during my labor and delivery which resulted in a long and traumatic chain of events for me. Every expectant/laboring mother deserves a positive experience with their healthcare providers, and I would not risk that experience with Dr Davis. It actually pains me to see her name on my daughter’s birth certificate and my experience with Dr. Davis is one that will take me years to recover from.

Awesome doctor and makes you feel like you are the only patient. I’ve never had such a comfortable patient-doctor relationship
