She knows what she is doing and is incredibly caring. She talks to you like another person, instead of a doctor to a patient. She is very knowledgeable in many areas, not just medical.

Dr. Kathryn Mencel is an AMAZING DOCTOR! We wouldn't trade her for the world. We (my husband & I) have seen other doctors but NO ONE compares even close to her level of genuinely caring for her patients. Whether I am out of state or need her care at 3 a.m. on a Sunday morning, she is always ready to deliver the optimum level of care with a gentle smile & a great concern! Although I don't suggest contacting her after hours of business unless it's a dire emergency, (She has little ones & a hubby to attend to)! I know if needed SHE WILL BE THERE WITHOUT A DOUBT! In the 10+ years that she has been our family doctor, she has NEVER LET US DOWN ONCE! She has always made sure we get the care that we deserve. We have full faith in her opinions & quality of care. Her knowledge has even avoided me from getting a serious operation done when another doctor said if I wouldn't get it done I was gonna die! Dr Mencel has been & continues to be A TRUE BLESSING in our lives! She is truly a devoted… doctor who has a passion for what she does without a monetary gain being her first priority as I have seen way too often in other doctors I have encountered in the past! Beata & Cathy Dr. Mencels assistants are the BEST at all aspects of their jobs, whether they are taking blood or helping with the paperwork, they make your experience there as painless as can be! Let's not forget about Dr. Polczek, she too is a very knowledgeable great doctor who knows her stuff! <3 THEM ALL!

I have been seeing her for years, she was the only doctor that knew what to do when my son was so sick. Now years later when I became very ill, she did not stop until she figured out what I had , and how to treat it. She is a great doctor.

Dr Mencel is the best. She is so patient and friendly. She is very knowledgeable and thorough in her examinations, diagnoses, and follow-up care. After searching so long for a doctor who cared and was knowledgeable, I was so happy to find her and have been with her for years. She has seen me for various reasons including my 2 pregnancies. I have also been in the ER several times, and each time, she is quick to meet me there and make sure everything goes smoothly. My mother, stephfather, and teenage son are also patients of hers. They each had their own MD but one visit was all it took for each one of them to just love her. My 6yr old and 2yr old daughters like her more than they do their pediatrician. I can go on and on about how great she is with everyone in the family, but you have to experience it for yourself. You will love her! Guaranteed!!!

This has been one of my favorite doctors.She's caring, answers all the questions, explains the procedures. She's confident and she has treated a large number of conditions that afflicted my family, at the same time, she has shown confidence by referring patients to specialists when needed or when asked. That's what should happen when a condition is more serious and needs specialized care.I'm glad she's my primary care physician.
