Kathy graduated with her undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 1987. She worked as a registered nurse in a variety of practice settings including neurology, trauma, critical care, addictionology, and psychiatry. She obtained her graduate degree from Purdue University and became a board certified family nurse practitioner.
