Dr. Kaushik Amin, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Amin for over 10 years. I have seen his practice go from overcrowded, rush in and out, late, unfriendly staff to descent waiting room visit, ample Dr. patient visit, better on time and a much friendlier staff. I will gave him a better rating because I have been through the worst. At several times I considered leaving but I stayed because I believe that he is among the best doctors.

Dr. Amin truly cares about his patients. He spends time talking with me about any current problems I am having and also keeps up with yearly exams to prevent future problems.

Spends a lot of time with the patient.

Worst doctor I've been to yet. Will NOT listen to you. His staff looks and acts like they're being forced to work there. I am filing a legit complaint with CMS. I have never encountered a doctor who did NOT care more.

One of the main reasons I come to this office is because of the walk-in appointments. With me working all the time, the walk-in appointments are very convienent, but this place has ALWAYS lacked a patient friendly atmosphere. You might encounter 1 out of 10 staff members here who are friendly and will actually take the time to simply say hello. The young brunette who sits at the window will not even greet you when you enter or while you are signing in. I actually HATE coming here, because of the staff. When they call you back, you sit right by the lab. You can here the ladies calling people back and sharing their test results, right over the phone. One time I heard them call my friend's sister. I heard her results and everything. I could not believe what I was hearing. This has gone on for years. I guess I should be worried about the same thing happening to me, but I don't because when they call me, I am the only one who answers my phone, so they don't have to leave a message. Very… rarely I am not able to answer when they call and when I know I am waiting on results, I keep close watch on my phone and when I answer I say who I am upon answering. I recently found out that Dr Amin is not board certified, which concerns me. Just because a doctor is licensed, does not been he is qualified. Dr Amin could be so outdated in his knowledge and patient care, that it could be unsafe for the patients. With this knowledge, I will continue to ONLY see Dr Amin for matters that are no critical, routine exams, etc. Anything major, I will seek help from another doctor. So, if you can get past the RUDE office staff, confidentiality breeches by the ladies calling people back with their test results, long wait room times...this isn't a bad place to come for minor issues.

Organization and Professionalism is the KEY and this office needs to work on that.

Dr. Amin is a very good Doctor. He is over book quite often only because his patient trust him and want to see him. However- His front office staff sucks! I have been a patient of Dr Amin's for 5 or more years and there is 1 that sit at the hall window. I do not know them by name however she has been there quite some time and she is the staff that takes your checkout charts and make follow up appointments. She is not a people person and should be in the back room some where. Next is the staff at the sign in window- She will call you up and discuss your personal insurance and payment information where other sitting right there in the waiting room can hear every word! I am sure there is a room to handle this type of business!! Next is the 1st Med staffer you see to take your vitals- She is fairly new and rude! She does to recognize or respond to patients. This was a very nice atmosphere and staff was professional when I being seeing Dr. Amin now I am seriously considering a… new physician that have staff to respect me as a patient. BTW- I have 2 friends that see are patients of Dr. Amin and they will tell you the same if they have not left his practice. Dr Amin- Train your staff or get new ones!!!!

He will tell you like it is.. The Truth hurts sometimes. These people on here saying things about him about the Pills are just upset, because he turned them away, and didn't want to give them to them on a monthly basis. He will tell you the truth. If you really needed pain medicine he will refer you to a pain Dr. He has a bed side manner that can sometimes seem harsh, but if you are really sick this is a really good dr to have by your side. He also is not about money. There has been plenty of times I can recall not having money for Antibiotics, inhaler or something and he helped me. I Have been going to him for almost 10 years or so. I would not go anywhere else.
