Dr. Kaushik Modi, MD

This physician made no eye contact with me. He showed little or no concern for anything other than filling out paperwork for cursory surgical clearances. His "bedside manner" is non-existant. He completely lacked empathy and was very removed and disinterested. His office staff was very friendly and helpful. I would never see him again.

Dr. Modi offers solid professional care for patients.

He listens and gives a thorough exam. Office staff also very friendly.

The doctor was very nice but I don't think he was very competent. He gave me a diagnosis verbally without having done all the tests he needed. Later when I was told I needed more tests and I questioned this I was told he thought I had all the tests done but that should have been clear from his records if he properly reviewed them. This seems to be a big oversight. Also his support staff are liars. They told me they would call me in 2 days to make an appointment after getting pre-authorization from insurance but they never did that. After waiting a few days I called my insurance myself to find out I didn't need pre-authorization and then I called the doctor's office myself to make the appointment. Then when we had the debacle about the extra tests and I asked to speak to the doctor they took my number and said the doctor would call later. The next day when I was in the office and again asked to speak to the doctor I was told he wasn't there yet but would be in a little later. After… having the test done I asked again and the receptionist then lied to my face and said he called and couldn't make it in that day but would come in later to review my records. I know she was lying to me because in the room the technician told me he was on vacation that week and wasn't expected in at all. This of course make me wonder which "doctor" reviewed my tests that day! I would have gone to another cardiologist if I could but due to time constraints I had no choice but to go back to them this one time. I will definitely look for another cardiologist for the future.
