About Dr. Newman
Dr. Kaz Newman is a graduate of 1972 with honors. In 1978, after practicing General Dentistry for six years, he attended Marquette University in Wisconsin for his post-graduate studies. He took a residency program in Prosthodontics. He completed his post-graduate training and obtained a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 1981. Immediately after his graduation from Orthodontics, he furthered his education in Bio-Material Science in Dentistry where he received his second Master of Science degree and the Walter Joyce, Jr. Research Foundation Award in 1983. Upon his graduation, he practiced Orthodontics for a number of years in the states of Wisconsin and New York. In 1987, he moved to the state of California where he established his private practice of Orthodontics in San Diego, California.
Dr. Newman is a board-eligible orthodontist who believes that it is imperative to remain in the forefront of advancements in orthodontics. Therefore, he attends numerous …orthodontic lectures and seminars every year. He continues to build on the traditions of excellence. He is also a graduate of Boston Dental Implant Institute where he recived his didactic and clinical training in Dental Implant Dentistry. He is currently a member of American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Diego County Dental Society (SCDS), American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), and American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
