I'm such a grateful and satisfied patient of Dr. Kim and his staff. I had about given up on ever being able to live pain free again. Now I'm 3 months out of cervical spinal surgery to fuse 4 vertebrae and experiencing far less pain. I have many pain free days as well. Do not hesitate to put yourself in these skillful hands.

Dr. Kim and his team at the UC Davis Health Spine Center provided excellent service. From the initial evaluation, through my surgery, and the followup for four moths I have found that Dr. Kim and the spine center team are total professionals while maintaining friendly and knowledgeable service. All staff from reception to x ray, nurses, and doctors are friendly and patient centered. I would highly recommend the Spine Center and Dr. Kim.

I do not even have the words to express how thankful I am to Dr. Kim, the anesthesiologists, nurses and all the medical staff involved in my surgery. It was for a removal of a meningioma tumor on my spine in my neck. I was very scared but I knew I had to get it done before it caused serious complications. Dr. Kim was very confident and put me at ease about the surgery. The anesthesiologists were wonderful and explained what they would be doing. The nurses were so helpful and kind. I am now home and recoverying. I just want to acknowledge them for their amazing work and for being so caring and understanding. Thank you!!!!

I was becoming disabled from spinal stenosis at L4-5. Dr Kim provided expert treatment to decompress nerve roots via an outpatient minimally invasive surgery. I didn't need any pain meds during recovery and even now two months later. I have recovered full strength in my legs and feelings are returning. The entire experience at UC Davis Med Center was very positive. Thank you for helping my get my life back.

Dr. Kim performed three surgeries on me. He is wonderful. I visited several doctors before I was referred to Dr. Kim and was told there was nothing anyone could do for me. Dr. Kim gave me hope and explained everything in detail, he answered all my questions in a manner I could understand and put me at ease. He gave me hope and his bedside manner is unsurpassable. I am now able to move and perform daily duties that I have not been able to perform in over 8 years. Dr. Kim cares about his patients and it shows. His staff was always caring, attentive and compassionate. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kim and his staff to anyone requiring neurological surgery. You will not find a better doctor to perform you surgery!

A couple years ago my legs began to be painful. I walked a little crooked as the legs became weaker and weaker. I was hesitant to go to the doctor as there is ALS in my family history and I feared it was my turn. MY Primary Doctor insisted I go to the neurologist which I finally did. After an MRI and several other detailed tests I was told "It's not ALS but there is a blockage in your spinal column. The choices then became do nothing and ultimately lose use of your legs and sooner or later the use of your kidney and bowel functions OR have surgery......I am up there in years but instantly choose surgery. THE CHOICE WAS EASY...SURGERY!! I was referred to Dr Kee Kim in Sacramento at UC Davis. It was a comfort to meet Dr. Kim and you instantly know he is a consummate professional Calm, engaging with a caring approach and an outstanding resume. After more tests, physical therapy and the like surgery was scheduled. Everything went like clockwork and surgery was successful. Recovery… has gone well and it's back to an occasional round of golf...............Soon after my surgery my wife developed a cyst on her sciatica nerve which had her screaming in pain and unable to straighten up or walk normally........All the various normal procedures did not work. The pain management doctors gave up and referred her to Dr Kim. Long story short he figured out a way to do surgery and open up the area so as to remove the cyst........It was complicated but surgery went well and he found and removed the cyst...She is now recovering nicely thanks to the tenacity and wisdom of Dr Kim. We feel so fortunate to have had these matters taken care of by such a skilled, calm and caring doctor..........There can be nobody any better!!! As one of our grown sons said "We have our lives back"

I had suffered from sciatic pain for over two years. After my operation with Dr. Kim my pain is gone. It is close to one year now since my surgery. Long story but if you are considering Dr. Kim, it is well worth reading!! I am SO GRATEFUL for Dr. Kee Kim. He is an incredible doctor and he has my absolute highest recommendation to anyone considering scheduling an operation with him. Surgery is never easy, but with Dr. Kim it was. After 11 years of pain, I am now pain-free. ***My Story*** My L4-L5 disc herniated in 2007, at the age of 21. I spent the next 11 years in increasingly debilitating pain. I went to various doctors multiple times up and down the state complaining of pain in the same region. They all sent me home with pain pills/narcotics, none of them believing (or caring?) about the severity of my pain. It became worse and worse until finally I had to quit my job as a teacher because I became (basically) paralyzed in 2017. The pain was so bad that I couldn't get up. My 6-year-old spent the next 6-9 months taking full care of me, (I'm a single mom) including meals, cleaning etc. as I laid in bed in… excruciating pain. ***Dr. Kee Kim*** My story became public when I reached out to the newspaper begging for help as I was financially depleted and about to become homeless. Dr. Kee Kim, out of the kindness of his heart and by the grace of God, decided he could help me and took me on. I was so scared to do the surgery, who wouldn't be? But I knew that if anyone could help me, it would be him... I had read numerous reviews on various websites about him; even from people who flew in from out of state just for him. After meeting him and seeing how professional, knowledgeable and confident he was, I knew for a fact I was in good hands. While Dr. Kim was operating on my spine, he discovered that my disc had fused to my spinal cord because it had been herniated for so long. This was not apparent on any testing done prior to surgery, so Dr. Kim had to scrape the disc off my spinal cord-- on the spot. One slip of the hand and I would've been fully paralyzed for life. To me it shows incredible talent, genius, and hand-eye coordination that a neurosurgeon absolutely MUST have. I am so thoroughly impressed and pleased with the outcome. (An unexpected outcome as well is that my mood and spirits are so high. I didn't even realize how my disability had me so down in the dumps until Dr. Kim fixed me.) It has been almost 6 months since surgery and I am feeling great! The scar is so small (less than an inch long) and already faded to a light light pink. I am not only able to take care of my son again, but we get to go on hikes, parks, bike rides and more. I have my life back, and my son has his mom back. If you are reading this Dr. Kim, my son and I THANK YOU ETERNALLY!!!
