Extremely poor bedside manner, could barely look at me at all. Dismissed everything I brought to the table. She tried to tell me I must allergic to milk or all of my symptoms are purely from allergies, even though I told her I spent 5 years with an allergist and I have an exact list and could contact my allergist if they needed it (even have a CD containing all that data), and I even have have multiple diaries and journals of years of symptoms for what I suspect is multiple sclerosis after a massive car accident as a child; which has shown symptoms every single year since! but has only massively declined in the last 1 year to 6 months to the point I am bedbound 3-4 days a week. Then she tells me it clearly isn't multiple sclerosis (and tried to refuse me an spinal MRI and tap in favor of just a regular brain MRI). I had to fight her for all of those things. Then I tell her I have severe allergies, again all confirmed, I have the papers, and she still tries to tell me "well you have… to take something!" (for seizures and migraines) and then tells me she wants me back on the medicine I'm deathly allergic to. I told them I'm allergic to benadryl, and she still told me to take it. Then she recommended Gabapentin, and I swore I knew that, turns out I was right just like I told her today. I'm allergic, and she wants me on that too. She tried giving me 5 different medications/topicals I cannot have, without even trying to do anything else or wait until the MRI results first. She then told me I must just be tired, and the insomnia is to blame. Even though I told her it's from the pain. I cannot sleep purely because of the pain, despite having struggled with insomnia my whole life, it's not whaat's causing me to stay awake for days on end now. It's the sheer amount of pain. She then tried to tell me I was just mentally ill and I need to see a psychiatrist, not only to get better because it was clearly causing all my problems; but that in Colorado, to apply for disability for my back, you need to see one. Which is a straight up lie. I called SSA the moment I got home. I looked on their website, and asked multiple people online in the forums. All told me the same thing. Do NOT go to a psyche or get a psyche evaluation when trying to prove spine damage and demyelination diseases. You need somebody to evalute YOU instead.

I had an MRI of my spine to look for lesions of Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Howard overlooked the results and said the report looked great and sent me home with the paperwork. I went over the results myself and it read that I had demyelination due to MS! I called her office and her response was that she was mistaken because she was extremely tired that morning and didn't even bother to look at the report. So glad I diagnosed MYSELF!
