Dr. Keisha Camille Maloney

I am raising serious concerns about patient safety, communication, and medical decision-making at Piedmont Newton Rheumatology. I received notice stating I was cleared to return to work and that all prior work excuses were “voided and rescinded,” despite an ongoing, documented autoimmune condition. This directive came from Dr. Sheth, who was not my treating physician, her response and actions, clearly ignored my medical concerns. Alarmingly, Dr. Maloney, who has documented my autoimmune disease in my medical records, agreed with Dr. Sheth to override the information in my records, contradicting my documented medical needs. This caused significant distress and placed my health and safety at risk. These actions raise serious legal and ethical concerns, including potential violations of ADA/disability protections, patient safety, medical negligence, and HIPAA/privacy laws. Patients deserve accurate, ethical, and coordinated care. If this facility continues to operate in this manner, it… should not be entrusted with patient care.

Referred to Maloney by another Piedmont physician. Had to wait about 6 weeks to get appointment. On January 2nd, went to my appointment and imagine my surprise when I got off elevator and found the office closed. Note on door with no explanation but they would open on the 6th. I never received a phone call on home or cell phones, no text message, nor any email cancelling appointment. I waited until Wednesday the 8th for someone to call me. I called that day and the next day, left two messages for someone to call me. On Friday the 3rd, another of my Piedmont doctors called with results of a test, the nurse looked at my record and said yes, they cancelled your appointment and rescheduled on the 16th of January. I have yet to have any communication with anyone in Maloney's office. They just assumed it was OK. I called today (January 13th) and cancelled that appointment. I will definitely NOT be going to Maloney. If this is the way she, and her staff, treat new or potential… patients, then I do not want her caring for me. I would not recommend her for anything. There was absolutely no excuse for this to happen just because staff didn't feel it was necessary to communicate with someone. If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. The only reason she got one star is because there is no negative.

I think it’s really hard to find a dr. Especially a rheumatologist that really cares about their patients. I got diagnosed with lupus and it felt like the drs were so disconnected from their patients I was really struggling. Then I went to dr. Maloney and after the first visit I was like ABSOLUTELY NOT I’m not coming back. She was so abrupt and matter of fact that I was like this is my life can I get a little compassion. But I hung in there and I did what she said(with an attitude) and by the next appointment I’d reduced my inflammation by 60%. And I got to know dr. Maloney better. The issue with this field is they are treating patients that if they don’t follow dr orders eventually they will be in a life or death situation and then they are looking to the dr to fix them but they never listen. I think once she knows you’re invested in your health then she softens up. She has been nurturing and encouraging and she’s helped me learn to deal with and manage my lupus while still having a… balanced life. I’ve got more energy, I’m getting back into shape, I’m emotionally better. She’s proactive about helping her patients being healthy and having a long life. I will forever be grateful to her for the care and attention she’s given me. I’m glad I hung in there.

Dr. Maloney has been the only rheumatologist I have been to that listens and cares. I liked that she formed her own medical opinion of me and diagnosed me based on her blood tests and exam rather than relying on what the other rheumatologists diagnosed me with. I am feeling so much better. I am very happy I found her.

Very Condescending, communicates very poorly, does not comprehend your concerns, she acts aloof, dresses very inappropriately, unprofessional, rude to staff, and just out right a horrible physician!! She was very awful in my opinion with my interaction with her! Don’t waste your time! The office staff is very lazy, rude, and unprofessional! No answers calls or returns calls! No one seems to be happy in this practice, everyone seems to have an attitude!!

Dr. Maloney is the best doctor I have next to my primary doc. I started seeing her for Psoriatic arthritis. I was in so much pain and so depressed. I could hardly walk or do other basic activities. Dr. Maloney gave me the diagnosis, explanations and answers I needed. She gave me options for my treatment and she got me moving pain free again. I truly appreciate what she has done for me. Thanks Dr. Maloney!

Excellent bedside manner, I was impressed.

Dr. Maloney spent time listening to me and really cared about what I was going through. She diagnosed me correctly and explained thoroughly my condition. She explained my treatment and possible side effects too although I wasn't too excited about that. I knew I had to get on treatment to get better. I am a whole lot better now thanks to her, my condition is stable. She's the best rheumatologist I have been to so far.

I would never recommend!! Terrible experiences (multiple).
