Dr. Keith Byron Banton, MD

Dr Banton deserves better reviews but people are giving bad reviews based on a negative experience with a past office employee. If his reviews were based on him alone as a doctor, everyone would honestly say he's worth 5 stars. He's one of the few Doctors who truly cares, takes time to listen, is very knowledgeable, and has many years of experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Banton since 2005. I actually love Dr. Banton himself however, his office staff is a different story! They are ALL rude!! They are also incompetent or lazy! I have been waiting for 3 months for referrals and authorizations to go through. This process only takes about an hour but his office/office manager will do nothing. I keep calling and so do my other specialists office. Many of them have told me to find somewhere else to go for primary care. I have also complained to my insurance company. I’m sure if Dr. Banton was aware he would be upset. I am a retired nurse so I understand the processes and the importance of proper patient care. The office staff is completely unaware of all of this. I am tired of the arguing with the staff and being belittled so I guess I will have to find another physician. I just wish I could leave a message for Dr. Banton about all of this.

I've been going to Dr. Banton since 2019 and it's been a nightmare ever since. It was difficult to get my refers and getting medications called into the pharmacy has been a consent fight. It's been over 3 weeks now and 4 new prescriptions has yet to be called in. The office manager, Jennifer, states it was Dr. Bantons fault b/c he didnt document the new medication in my chart. She would get with Dr. Banton. That was over a week ago. She's now on vacation.....My medications from previous Dr visit was never called in either. So is it the doctors fault or the office staff?? They want let me see Dr. Banton or leave a message so I'm not sure if he is aware of what's going on. 2 of the medications was for my high blood pressure, to replace my other BP medication that wasn't working. At my appt my BP was 164/104. Plus I have a brain tumor, so a cap in my medications is worrisome for me and now I have lost all trust with Dr. Banton and his office staff.

Was sick in the hospital came to visit got my medicine right and made sure that it work well with my body right he follow up every day making sure the nurse and everyone is treating you nice and right I thank God for a doctor like this he really care and be concern.

Staff in front office/reception needs to be trained on common courtesy and kindness.

I really appreciate how Dr. Banton took his time with me he listened and answered all of my questions. Best family doctor ever.

It seems Dr. Banton cares and is willing to work with you. My wife has Diabeties and he clearly wasn't helping. He even believes it is a Condition not a disease! WTH?!!! Anyway, if you like long waits, forgoten perscription call ins and mis-medicated he and his staff are your choice! Our 1st visit we told them what we were alergic too. After being with them for almost 4 months, they called in the exact medication my wife is alergic to! If it weren't for the pharmacy we would have had major problems! Watch out for them!
