Dr. Keith Wayne Berkowitz, MD

Dr. Berkowitz is by far and away the best internist I have ever seen. He is incredibly intelligent, empathic and has now saved my life twice. He is a critical thinker of the very first order snd us amazingly responsive I couldn’t recommend him more

I wouldn't call Dr. Berkowitz a snake oil salesman, but he isn't far off. He clearly knows the science behind the supplements, tests, and diets that he pushes, though the diagnoses he creates are based on what he thinks you're insecure about, not what you actually have. He cultivates patients who want to believe in something to fix all of their insecurities, which he preys on. It was very obvious when he tried it with me, and sad to see him do it to others in the office who were weight conscious (one was extremely thin). He kept testing me by looking down at my stomach to see if I'd react with shame. To others, he made disparaging comments about their lack of "progress." This is really shameful behavior. Upon my next visit, after months of following his plan, my weight had decreased but my test results were the same. However, his bizarre metrics based on what he perceived to be my insecurities had improved. Thousands of dollars later, I seemed more "alert." The symptoms which I… came to him about, though, had persisted. Dr. Berkowitz sees himself as a prophet, preaching more or less the ketogenic diet, and wants to find disciples who spend thousands out of pocket to feel better about their illnesses, imagined or not. You won't find any legitimate answers here.

I know Dr.Berkowitz for twenty years, He is a very dedicated and caring doctor. He is very knowlegable and easy to talk with about your ongoing issue with your health.I have been trying to lose weight for twenty years he is the only doctor who has been successful with me. I highly recommend him.

Never gets back to you....

I have been in search of a good internist. I thought I found one.I felt he is trying to find holes in my character and health to sell things to me. He would want me to buy supplements from him which I could get cheaper through the internet. I am not sure he really understands the vitamins and supplements he is recommending. I am really concerned he might be harming someone. He often would not return any information about my results forcing me to have to schedule another visit.

i saw Dr. Berkowitz for a number of issues including digestive, bloating, constipation. Dr. Berkowitz was able to help me with the above issues. I highly recommend him.

Takes the time to explain "ALL". Backed up by test results. Thinks out of the box. Refreshing to have a Dr who takes my Total Health in consideration. Highly Recommended by Me. Results make the case.

I've been going to Dr. Berkowitz for over ten years and I would not be going the distance I do (over two hours) unless I found him exceptional and exactly what I want my doctor to be. He takes time to talk and explain and evaluate. You never feel rushed or brushed off or neglected. I feel I can turn to Dr. Berkowitz at any time to discuss my health issues and he'll be there for me. I can't say that about a lot of other doctors these days who leave most of this to their assistants or nurses or receptionists.
