Dr. Keith Allen Blakely, MD

Dr. Blakely has been my family physician for over 25 years. He is kind, caring and a very good doctor. For example: I was at Riverside waiting for a procedure. My big toe hurt badly....three nurses and one doctor all told me that it looked infected and I should have it x-rayed. Dr. Blakely looked at it and diagnosed gout, which was the correct diagnosis.

I came to Dr. Blakely at a time when life was giving me multiple challenges - all at a difficult time. As I visited with Dr. Blakely to establish care with a central Ohio doctor I found him to have a genuine sense of compassion and excellent listening skills. He cares about both the physical and emotional challenges we, as patients, experience. He is thorough and yet cautious in his treatments, leaving me to feel that my overall care is in good hands. I have already started referring others to him, and I'll continue to encourage people looking for quality medical care to consider establishing care with Dr. Blakely!!!

I have had some good experiences and bad. Unfortunately, by selecting a physician you are rating both the physician and his staff, including the administrative staff. Shortly after starting a new job, I became ill and went to see Dr. Blakely. A 5 minute check by the staff of this group would have shown that this physician was not in my network and would have saved me $400. In discussing it with the administration of the office, they were rude and despite being with Dr. Blakely over 20 years on and off were unwilling to work with me. Pertaining to Dr. Blakely more directly, I think he is a capable physician. However, you will likely never see him go over the top in following up on a concern from a visit. In fairness, I haven't yet found a single physician that is able to let go of his/her ego enough to look at their job as serving their clients.

Dr. Blakely is a throwback to the good care you received back in the 50's 60's. He genuinely cares about his patients and always takes time to listen and prescribe a suitable remedy for your ailment. Great doctor!
