Dr. Keith Charles Knapp, MD

The support staff at this practice are terrible and why this place gets negative reviews. The women that work on the staff are so incompetent, you wonder how they are even employed, let alone at a medical practice. This is likely why they work in a downtrodden, dilapidated part of the city and nowhere near downtown Chicago where they would never be hired. They had test results of mine quite promptly, but they deliberately took 2+ weeks to get back to me. Anyone who has had medical tests done knows the anxiety in waiting, and they did not let me know promptly whatsoever, though the paperwork showed the lab returned the results quickly. In addition, the office is unkempt and disgustingly dirty, they actually gave me some filthy key to unlock the bathroom that was moist when they handed it to me (who knows what germs are on that, yes this is a doctors office). They were bickering with each other while I was waiting as well, just a group of loud, unprofessional, sloppy individuals. If you… are reading this, go elsewhere. These women are beyond clueless and will create many issues for you as they have done for many others. When you are a small, downtrodden, fringe practice like this, one would think the staff would be professional and welcome business and patients properly, but they are truly inept beyond belief. I would not bring a stray dog to this practice, stay away.

I found Dr. Knapp's nursing staff to be unprofessional; not only did the check in attendant routinely take off her mask, but she also openly discussed her support of Trump with her colleagues. Dr. Knapp also denied me prep (Pre-exposure prophylaxis) on the grounds that he "doesn't believe in it." Although everyone is entitled to their own political opinions, I believe a professional medical establishment should take an apolitical approach to treating their clients and their medical needs. Will not return.
