Dr. Keith Michael Krist, MD

Dr Krist is the best of the best. He cares about each patient and is knowledgeable about the care of each child.

Our very first visit with him was incredibly rushed, he was running an hour behind and couldn't get out of our room fast enough. He didn't adress any of my concerns and was in and out in minutes. I gave him another chance hoping it had just been a bad day. However, I shouldn't have. This doctor is NOT BREASTFEEDING FRIENDLY. He made no attempts to help figure out why my daughter wasn't nursing, dismissed the advice I was given by lactation consultants, and openly bad mouthed and insulted other doctors I saw in an effort to get my daughter nursing. When my daughter stopped gaining weight he would not even discuss the problem with me and instead, scolded me for falling behind on vaccines. When I tried to express concerns over nursing and explain why she was not up to date he raised his voice with me, made several snide comments and proceeded to try and guilt trip me into giving shots. He then went to leave and I asked "You're not even going to adress any of my concerns with me?" at which… point he says he didn't realize I had any, even though the medical assistant had clearly notated them in the chart, had he bothered to look. He didn't even notice the fact that she had not gained weight, when 2 other doctors I spoke with after the fact stated it was insufficient weight gain. He will never treat my children again.

A very sincere great doctor! I have been using Dr. Krist since my daughter was born for more than 13 years. He is honest, candid, thorough and medically very good when diagnosing my children. I moved from the greater FWB area to Destin and I still drive all of my six children to his office. He and his nurse Sara are a great team!

I have read the 6 previous reviews and I agree in some parts with the negative reviews. I have been felt brushed aside at times however Dr Krist has always been spot on with diagnosing my child. My child has seen him since birth and is now almost a teenager. I feel Dr Krist truly cares for the children he treats and honestly puts forth 100 percent effort in treating the children. His Nurse could be a bit more cheery but other than that I have no complaints. If your seeking a physician for your child I would tell you go to Dr Krist.

Dr. Krist was the first pediatrician my daughter ever saw since the time of her birth and he continued to be until recently despite previous problems I had from time to time. It seems like Dr. Krist has well intentions with his patients but I felt as if my questions were quickly brushed aside and somewhat neglected. My daughter is my only child and she is only 8 months, her health is truly truly my #1 concern. Afte plenty of well checks and vaccinations my daughter seemed to be really sick; She couldn't quit coughing, and would do so soo hard that she would throw up and didn't even sleep 2 hours out of a 24 hour day. I took her to see Dr. Krist begging him for any mediction or albuterol treatment to ease her coughing and pain but he refused and said it would just have to run its course. I was no ok with his prognosis so I rished her across the street to the pediatric ER not even 5-10 minutes later. They looked at her oxygen level which Dr. Krist's ofice said was almost 100% and it was… at 88%. They said that as she slept her oygen would drop dangerously low and said that Dr. Krist should have had greater concern for my daughter's health him being her primary pediatrician since birth and knowing she was born extremely premature. The hospital admitted my daughter overnight. She ended up staying for almost a whole entire week under observation because of her extremely sick state and sent home on albuterol treatments and a steroid course, BOTH of which Dr. Krist would not prescribe my daughter. I still don't truly understand why or how this event ended up the way it did but I believe that maybe more care should have been put into her from Dr. Krist. I have no ill feeling towards him because maybe it was just a misdiagnosis, however, my daughter is so important to me that her health can't be over looked expecially when I express immense concern.I have never had a problem with White Wilson and will continue to go see a pediatrician from there also.

i have always enjoyed and appreciated the kindness of not only Dr. Krist, but his nurse! He always takes his time and explains everything. He is a very thorough Dr.

Dr Krist has always been so helpful with our children and is so caring. Takes all of the needed time to make sure that all of our questions are answered. He is such a great pediatrician!

4 years ago Dr. Krist calmly and carefully diagnosed my child's blood disorder. He helped us get specialty care and was in constant contact throughout my child's bone marrow transplant. We love him! He is a special part of my child's miracle.

Dr. Krist down play my sons condition and never gave me a dignosis. After goint go a different doctor we were told that my son had a serious condition and need sugury

dr. krist is awesome. he always explains things so well and my kids love his bow ties.
