Dr. Kelly Davis Baylan, MD

Dr. Baylan is direct and straight forward, but with intent to treat the patient. She clearly uses up to date and relevant medical information in her decision making and explained my medications in a manner no one has before. She made me feel heard, respected, and supported me through some of the worst times of my life including loss of a child. She went above and beyond to help me with issues related to my work. If you want actual medical treatment, Dr. Baylan is for you. If you want to be coddled and told you deserve a trophy just for breathing, probably not! She will call you to task and certainly encourages people to take ownership of their own decisions, which should be the goal of mental health care.

I found Dr Baylan to be very kind. She listens and tries to help with difficult and complicated problems

My visit with Kelly was awful. I had a telehealth appointment with her. She was rude, condescending, and didn’t listen. After less than 20 minutes of extremely basic questions she decided that I did not have depression (I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder by another provider), but that I instead have a personality disorder. Again, after 20ish minutes and only a few basic questions. She did not seem to believe me when I told her I was sexually abused as a child. When I told her how much I liked my therapist, she proceeded to try to talk me out of seeing my therapist again, and blamed my panic attacks ON my therapist. She refused to help treat me unless I “followed the care plan” meaning- stopped seeing my therapist. I only wanted medication management from her. Additionally- she asked questions about my sexual abuse that made me very uncomfortable, and were not relevant to the scope of care I was there for. At the end of all of this, she hung up on me mid… sentence. The only thing I would recommend Kelly for is losing her license. She is a danger and a menace to her patients.

Provider was cold, unhelpful and condescending. She lacked proper knowledge of depression and the symptoms it causes. Didn’t seem to believe it was real or medication worked for it. Honestly a callous and dangerous attitude to have with someone in crisis. She should not be treating people with mental health issues. It’s dangerous.

Atrocious. Cold. Condescending. Rude. Judgmental. Acts as if you are bothering her and a waste of her time. Cuts you off. Makes assumptions that aren't rational or valid. Only shows eyes and above on video which is extremely creepy.

I asked questions about emotional support animals. The doctor was visibly upset and expressed irritability with the questions. She reported that many people ask about this topic and she was not in favor of emotional support animals because she can be sued for mal-practice. She also reported that therapist don't have licenses and can't be sued which she believed to be the root of her frustration with the topic. I informed her that therapist actually do have licenses and can be sued for mal-practice. Then, she hung up on me. It was 10 mins into the session so we did not get the chance to discuss anxiety, the reason for my visit. Poor emotional regulation, emotional intelligence and maturity.

Had an initial appt that was supposed to have lasted 45 minutes- the appt only lasted about 25 minutes. After telling her about a recent trauma she insisted I was dealing with the normal stress of life and could need to speak with a Therapist. Would not recommend her if you really need to work though anything, she isn't open to talking with patients. She didn’t do any evaluations just asked a short list of questions and drew a quick conclusion that I seem like a strong resilient person and I would be fine.

I have been seeing Dr. Baylan for 1.5 years now. I have never had a bad experience with her. She is easy to talk to, she listens and asks about previous points of discussion, inquires if medications are still working, etc. She is very empathetic.

I reached out for help. I have severe depression. I made appointment on Dr on Demand cause our insurance wants us to use it. The worst Dr ever. Told me to get over my problems and get back to work. I keep having bad thoughts. Our appointment was suppose to be 45 minutes. Lasted 17 minutes... How do you tell a patient just to get over it.
