Dr. Kelly Dawn Snyder, DO

PLEASE do not USE Kelly Duckett/Snyder. After having a hysterectomy done by her she cut and nicked my ureter putting me in acute kidney failure. I only have one kidney which she was aware of before surgery. I went to her three times after surgery saying I was in immense pain. She said it was not surgery related to seek help elsewhere. Three days later I was taken to the emergency room in kidney failure and had emergency surgery. I had to under go two more surgeries to fix the damage she caused to my ureter. Because she didn't get me the help I needed immediately, my ureter was further damaged with scar tissue. It was so extensive I had to have my bladder dissected and rebuilt up my right side. My bladder was then hitched to my psoas muscle and my kidney was pulled down and hitched at the psoas muscle. I had so little ureter left from the hysterectomy Dr. Duckett did that my psoas hitch was higher than it is supposed to be. I now suffer chronic pain from her cutting my ureter.… My body can’t deal with the stress of two organs being attached to my psoas. Even after having physical therapy, my body is now constantly in pain. Because the psoas is a major stabilizing muscle that connects at the spine, my back is constantly out of place from being pulled forward. Please do not go to her. Choose someone else! It could save your life. No one deserves to end up with chronic pain because of a surgical error after almost dying from acute kidney failure. All related to her surgery on me.

I loved the fact there were multiple doctors and midwives who worked here and they rotated you through all of them so come delivery day you have seen all of them. A lot of bigger OBGYN offices are run this way. I personally am a fan of this. I felt it was the best care you could possibly receive! Unfortunately I moved out of state and do not receive care anywhere close to what duckett’s office offers. I never waited longer than 15-20 minutes for an appointment there. My new OB office is a 1-2 hour wait every time, so yeah.. Dr Brown did my c section and was assisted by one of the midwives and both did excellent! They actually answer questions and are informative!

Lifres Journey is entirely too busy, only saw Duckett once in 10 mos., A midwife delivered my son who decided not to follow my birthing plan and not give me an epidural. You wait forever when you have an appt. If you showed up 30 mins late for an appointment they would reschedule. At this office you wait at least 30 before you're seen for scheduled appts.

I have always had an aversion to going to see doctors because of an experience I had when I was young. I can 100% say that, if I had known Dr. Duckett before now, I would DEFINITELY have gone to a doctor. During a pre-consultation for a procedure, she was kind, explained in detail what needed to be done and how she would be doing it. She answered ALL of my questions (and believe me, I had a TON!) thoroughly and was extremely patient. The following week, I went in for the procedure, she performed it, and I didn't feel a thing! I also had no pain afterwards. In a nutshell, she made me feel completely at ease and I would not hesitate to recommend her to everyone! The best doctor ever!!!

She is a terrible Dr. She caused a patience to require 3 more surgeries due to malpractice. Patience went to her 3 times stating something was wrong. Dr never investigated. The patient nearly died due to Dr Duckett cutting het urieter. Since this incident many others have had similar experiences or know someone close who has. DO NOT LET HER TIMID APPROACH FOOL YOU. It could cost you or a loved one your life!!

She has been with me through my entire infertility struggle and then saved my life when I started hemmorhaging after delivering my daughter. She's a truly special woman and I won't go to anyone else. I was elated when she stayed in Du Bois!

I have considered changing to a different O.B. but feel I am too far along to do so. First appointment to confirm pregnancy was great, but afterwards my satisfaction with this office has gone down hill. The receptionist is a pain to schedule with. I am a working professional who does not have a flexible schedule and I am traveling over an hour for appointments. I have to be a forceful about appointment times and feel as though I am being talked down to when trying to schedule a time and date that meets my needs. I have not seen a single person twice except the girl that does blood pressure and weight. Otherwise I meet a new face and a new name every appointment. I find nothing reassuring with this. I have met 3 different doctors. One was down right rude and had absolutely no time for me. Dr. Brown was very personable. Awesome bedside manor. Great sense of humor and answered the few questions I had. I would not recommend this office for pregnancy.

Went to see Dr. Duckett for a problem. She examined me, left the room then returned all upset and told me I had a life threatening disease. I was in shock. Upon seeing a specialist, I was relieved to find the problem was nothing anywhere close to what she "diagnosed" and was a minor issue which resolved in a week. Her behavior was completely innapropriate and unprofessional.

So far have had an absolutely amazing time there, making the appointment was a breeze, was not put on hold for hours. Went in for appointment early as was advised so that all paperwork and labwork would be done before meeting with anyone..the receptionist was so sweet, patient and caring it made me feel right at ease! Next i met with a midwife and went through an extremely thorough interview of my past and present health including my fiances health and even his familys history! Next they helped me understand that they are fully there for me throughout my pregnancy no matter what hour day or night! I also got to meet a second midwife who of which was equally caring and patient with me,... And to complete i met with another wonderfully sweet office member to schedule my next two appointments (with the utmost flexibility and ease),.. By the time i left i was welling up with tears i felt so good knowing there are still people out there in the medical field that care about… you, and i am just so glad to have found them!! =) My utmost thanks goes out to dr. Kelly ducketts office and staff, i am so excited to know theyll be there for me through my pregnancy!
