Dr. Kelly Kathleen Hunt, MD

Dr. Hunt is a great surgeon. She is conservative, yet thorough in her approach. She genuinely cares about you. She advised me on my decision for single vs double mastectomy (advised single for me based on my diagnosis.) And when my mom was diagnosed a year later, I decided to do a preventative mastectomy on the remaining side. She was a partner in decision making the entire time, with care, support, knowledge and experience guiding her input. She is well respected by other doctors for her thoroughness, excellent surgical capability, teamwork, and leaving "the best flaps in the surgical theatre" (which is the remaining skin for use by reconstructive/plastic surgeon for implants.) Others I've referred to her have also appreciated her bedside manner and calm disposition, knowledge and guidance in their cancer plans. Additionally, she is surrounded by a great team of other physicians who round out your treatment team (reconstructive surgeons, chemo oncologists, radiation oncologists,… endocrinology oncologists, nurses, etc.) I highly recommend her and was blessed to have lucked out in getting her as my doctor during this journey.
