Dr. Kelly Allan Schofield, MD

He was wonderful. Actually listened to me, talked about my mental health not just in terms of medication. But, he decided that I needed to start seeing a personal trainer. Don't get me wrong: I know how much evidence there is for the benefits of exercise on mental health. But in my case, the exercise caused me to lose to much sleep that it hurt my physical health and my grades, and led to the beginnings of an eating disorder that kept getting worryingly worse. I told him all of this, and he did not do anything. I am not sure if he did not believe me, or did not really care.

Dr Schofield is a caring and compassionate MD.

I had the same psychiatrist for 16. It was very hard when he retired. He suggested Dr Schofield. I have found Dr Schofield to be a caring supportive and compassionate psychiatrist.

Excellent therapist. Practical. Smart.

Provider operated in sweeping generalizations and platitudes, cut me off one time in therapy to inform me that it was clear that I hated myself. Provider increased rate of payment by ~$30/session without notifying patients. When prompted multiple times, his billing associate could not explain. Associate did not follow up on phone. Provider asked if he could charge for 4/8 session and was told to do so. Followed up EIGHT months later without reference to the prior time, in an attempt to charge me.

Integrates action plans regarding lifestyle and therapy with med. mgt. He clearly values psychotherapy. Most helpful.
