I have seen Kelly in office once to request some labs. At first I really liked her thinking she was really listening to me but really, I was a quick “sick” visit because I just asked for some labs to be run. She didn’t even examine me for the problems I was having and asking for blood work for. We are new to the area so she has no history on me or any details of my medical problems other than that current issue (thyroid). Fast forward to now I was diagnosed with COVID and had sent a message asking for advice on ways to make the symptoms less and also asking about monoclonal therapy or the antiviral pill. I told her I was unvaccinated due to my original doctors recommendation from my home state until after a surgery I needed to have performed for some vascular issues. She told me the antibodies and pill were for only certain people with specific medical problems (not bothering to ask about what I have been dxd with which include autoimmune) and continued to shame me for not being… vaccinated. She gave no other advice. She did not offer a virtual appointment. She told me that Orlando Health does not recommend the state run free Monoclonal Antibody treatments. Thankfully, I am educated enough to ignore her and found a treatment location and 24 hours later my symptoms have backed down from COVID. Her advice is wrong and dangerous. She didn’t try and didn’t do her best. For Orlando health to complain about their ERs being overwhelmed but not offer or suggest treatments which can prevent them from being that way is insane. They is also a real problem with discrimination with this practice when it comes to vaccine status. I will be finding a new PCP and they will be out of the Orlando Health system.
